Can anyone tell me why they rearranged our district????? They shuffled the teams from 13A and 14A... 13A is now: Bradford Dresden Gleason Greenfield South Fulton Union City Lake Co. 14A is: Gibson County Halls Humboldt Middleton TCA Madison Academic Magnet Trenton Can someone shed some light on this?

Not sure how true it is but I heard that the kids who are there now all play for the same AAU team which is coached by W.E.B's coach. So they have been playing together for years. Probably why they chose WEB. Like I said, that's just what I was told. However they did it, I went and checked them out and they're the real deal foreal. I was also told by a coach in Memphis that WEB had a scrimmage against East at the early part of the season and lost by 1. I would have loved to see that.

Humbolt is good but I still wouldn't count out Memphis even if substate is in Humbolt cause that would mean either Mitchell, W.E.B. Dubois or Grad Academy would be the opponent. I've personally watched Dubois play a couple of times this year and I promise you they are nothing nice. All of their starters has had a 40 point night and they're averaging 119 points per game in their district in which they are still behind Mitchell and Grad. So it won't be an easy trip to the boro.

I made that post before the season started. Humbolt is definitely the best team in 14A. The guys we have now just don't have the work ethic of the 2 guys we lost. Those 2 were everything. I'm happy for the kids at Humbolt. They play hard and deserve to be where they are right now...

Humbolt I believe will have the same kind of season we had here in Halls last season. Still we had better scorers last year than Humbolt has this year but defense is what wins games and that's why I think Humbolt will go all the way. AND FYI, don't think that we're just gonna lay down for y'all just because we lost a couple of key players lol. We still have 3 of the big 5 returning plus a couple good defenders off the bench to fill those spots we lost lol. That test will be next Friday at our place ( Halls vs Humbolt)... That will be a great atmosphere I can't wait... But I definitely like what y'all are doing this season.

Awwww man how you gone forget to mention the only Single A team in west tn with an undefeated season and 2 overall losses for the year Lol... No but we lost a lot in King and Rogers, but all five starters averaged double digits in scoring and we return 3 of the 5. The 2 guys who are replacing them won't replace the scoring but they are twice as better defenders. We still have one of the guards as well as our Big man who pretty much does what he wants and will average 30 this season. Also Lewis who would give you 10-20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3+ steals a game. So when it comes to scoring, Halls and UC are still the top 2 teams in 14A. Humbolt has to develop some shooters cause that's what hurt them last season. Nobody shot the ball which made their every move predictable. So you can't just give them the number 1 spot. They have to earn that. So 1, 2, and 3 will be a battle trust and believe.

Why do you not think Halls would be a top contender in Single A?

I don't know how I forgot to mention this kid. He's the real deal. Gave us(Halls) 40 points and there was absolutely nothing we could do to stop him. He was like a Troy Polamalu on defense, he was everywhere. We still beat them by 20 but if he had just a little bit of help it would've been a quiet trip home for us.

Myron McKinney (Halls)... Gave BTW all they could handle at sectionals with 36 points. Very fun and exciting

It will be very tough beating us at home. We are an offensive team and have been all year. BTW has very good guards but trust me they will have their hands full guarding Tavon King who is just as fast with mad ball handling skills and Cordell person who is very crafty with the ball. His floor vision and IQ is what makes him so unique. From what I saw, our big man will have a field day on the inside. I honestly don't even have an opinion on who will win cause both are very good.
