They've always been PHS......Peabody High School. Lots of people refer to them as Trenton Peabody...........maybe because "Peabody" really doesn't tell where they are from...."Trenton Peabody" does. I know some folks thought we were a school out of Memphis...............The Peabody Hotel..... I also know that for a period of about 2-3 years, several of the sport teams would wear "T" on their hats or jerseys, but in all actuality......they are and always have been Peabody High School. And now they sport the "P" again. Does that make any sense?

Well, in single A, Peabody's softball team finished 5th in the state last year. South Fulton was 4th I believe and 3rd, 2nd and 1st were all private schools in Middle TN......I think. It was 1st...Goodpasture, 2nd.....Boyd Buchanan and 3rd......FRA.

Not necessarily, Greg Ramsey and Dex Fields are pretty good at them too. Mack wasn't hitting them as well today as usual. He got two in the last half, which was great. He really had a better defensive game today.

I was really just thinking about it being easier for me to read through and for others who usually stick to one division. Then if we wanted to check out AA we would know who's who and what's what.

Anyone ever thought about dividing the divisions up by A, AA, and AAA under each sport. I mostly read and post about single A since we are single A and all these other posts just seem to get in the way. That way you can keep them straight. Seems like a good idea to me................any thoughts?

Oh, I think that will be three dunks from Doaks AND team effort from the TIDEMEN. I don't like to make predictions, but I DO know that the TIDEMEN will fight to the very end and they've got several guys in there to fight HARD!

Well, Robert Yancy, #21 freshman, is the one who stopped North in the Sub-State game! Robert came in the game and held North to only 3 pts in the last 1 1/2 quarters of the game..............per a local newspaper.

In height?.............Nicchaeus seems to be quite a bit taller than Greg.

I agree with you on everything but the fact that you think Peabody is nothing without him. Everyone here knows how I feel about Nicchaeus Doaks, but our team is hardly "nothing" without him. There you go.........emphasizing that ONE player makes the WIN. AGAIN.........Nicchaeus is an awesome basketball player, but he cannot and does not do it alone............and he too will tell you that.

You need to go back and read her post!!! She said "thanks, that shows that not everyone in LC is rude". So..............she is thanking the falcon fan for saying what she/he said about Peabody and continued to say that it showed that not everyone in LC was rude! PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!

Please..........if you choose to go to a public school, you have to go to the one who's district you live in. ANYONE can go to a private school and you cannot tell me that coaches have NEVER recruited athletes. Some athletes get "scholarships" to play basketball, football, baseball, softball, soccer, golf, etc. at certain private schools. Some private schools do not do this, but you know as well as I do IT HAPPENS, a lot.

You know what blows me away? The fact that so many young men and women think that ONE player determines the greatness of the team. It's this way in ALL sports. Softball, baseball, football, etc. One player cannot do it by himself! I wish everyone could learn that, because if that one player is sick or injured, the whole team gets down and thinks they can't do it without them..........which is not true! Where if they would see it as a TEAM effort...........they'd all perform better...... they would be focused on the game, not the fact that a strong player is missing!

That should't be how you judge it........1st round jitters will get you everytime. The Tidemen will pull it together now that those "1st time" nerves have calmed down. GO TIDEMEN, GO TIDEMEN, GO TIDEMEN, GO!
