NCS has arrived, better late than never. Definitely not ashamed of our little region. Just the opposite, this is going to be a fun region to watch this year. Picking NCS to win region (biased of course) but games will be much closer and hard fought this year and hoping NCS can pull out some of those close games. Season finale with NCS hosting Trousdale on Oct. 28 should be a whale of a game.

Columbia Academy has announced that they will remain in D1 in 2017-18 despite the new rules. Others have not announced yet but most will probably go to D2.

Heard D2 was going to expand to 3 classes given the number of private schools that are going to move over. Anyone know if that's true?

maui615 Not worth the time to try and explain anything to folks that don't understand that to cheat you have to break a rule. Unfortunately ignorance of the rules plays a big part in how people think. Great season to NCS and Greenback. eagleeye2020: Ignorance would imply a lack of knowledge but ability to learn. Stupidity is more of a descriptor for ZZ99. Stupidity is a lack of intelligence, dull-wittedness, brainlessness, slowness, doltishness and denseness.

Silvey is a good player but not great. Definitely not a game changer. More interested in being a cheap shot artist than a football player. Best lineman in the state? He wasn't even the best lineman in the game. NCS nose tackle #56, only a sophomore, is a better player than Silvey and has 8 college offers already.

Once again you've missed the point. No recruiting needed. The players come to you because they know they'll get to play for a great coach. Probably difficult to understand for someone with your limited mental abilities.

Sure, it was fine to have private schools mixed in as long as you were kicking their heads in, right? NCS won anywhere from 1 to 5 games a year and didn't make the playoffs for the 9 seasons before Coach Brothers came while regularly getting pounded by public schools like Jo Byrns and Houston County, etc. No complaints from the publics there, right? Happy to have you as long as we can kill you. But after bringing in a top quality coach and building a program, "It's Not Fair"!. "Waaah". "My little Billy Bubba shouldn't have to play against that big bad private school that had never won a championship before and got knocked out of the playoffs the last 3 years by a public school". What a joke. So go ahead and separate the publics and privates and the publics can go back to winning hollow championships against subpar competition and you can hoist your tarnished gold ball up into your little trophy cases and feel good about yourselves again.

Funny how all the talk all week was Greenback beating NCS and once they had their butts handed to them, the only thing left was baseless claims of cheating or buying players. You people are hilarious. Show some class and just shut up.
