Hey BlazeP, you are so easy to pass judgement on the character of Smyrna's coaches and players and you are entitled to your opinion, but Why don't you play football? You have a chance I am sure, then you could show those players how 'YELLOW' they really are. I always thought that "yellow" meant cowardly or scared. They may very well be boastful, I don't know, but they do have the guts to get out there and play and work hard. It is much easier to sit in the stands or on a computer and dog them than it is to get out there and work and play.

Region4Fan you are right. I think athletes do get a little preferential treatment sometimes. I remember a while back when Brett Trott and Alvin McDermont beat up a teammate in the offseason, they didn't get suspended or anything. I even think it was on school grounds. That is just the way it is sometimes. I guess the legal system deals with this more effectively than coaches.

Who's gonna start at QB for Blackman? Oakland?

OK Gas Man, since you know how to stop Lebanon and Smyrna.....let's see how smart you really are. Question: What would you do to stop Blackman and what would be the keys to beating them? Since you know how to stop those others...please answer this......

Good Comments oh Shady one..... What is the full schedule for the Blaze.....what games do you think you guys can win and which ones will be difficult? Is Blackman a lock for the playoffs or a bubble team.....also, how do you see Smyrna? Wolke is the real deal no matter what anyone else says, I saw him against Riverdale last year and despite getting killed, he is legit.

OK, Blaze fans will go nuts on this one, but.... Can Blackman really do very well this year?....I mean, didn't they lose a lot of players and you guys talk of their non region schedule, well it looks like 3 out of region losses, on paper they would be favored I guess against Lavergne, Segal, and Wilson Central but not against anyone else.....who will step up, do they have more coming back that we don't know of......how did their spring scrimmages go? I am thinking....1. Riverdale, 2. Oakland, 3. Lebanon, 4. Smyrna......

I know this will upset a couple of you guys, but how can you say that Oakland on paper is going to the BCB. Last year, everyone touted Oakland as being so good with all their players coming back except their FB and MLB. Well they went on to underachieve and lost 4 maybe 5 games (albeit 2 to Riverdale), I just don't see how you can say they are going to beat RHS til they go out on the field and do it. I think since 98 they are 2 - 6 against Riverdale (per RHS web site)......Oakland is good and has a good program, but they have underachieved a few times when everyone thought they would be dominant. I know you are going to blame injuries, but Riverdale seems to overcome them. Just some food for thought.........

What the latest on Siegel? Did they have a spring practice?

What's up with Kentrell Roper, didn't he start at FB last year? How does he feel about AJ taking his place?

How are the Rebels doing this spring?

Even though I cannot be as bold as the Bulldog, even if Smyrna seems to choke, don't they have more talent coming back than Blackman. Seems to me that Wolke, like it or not, is probably the best player coming back in that region (wasn't he the 2002 Region Offensive MVP), Blackman has had success the last 2 years, but it seems that they have lost a ton of good players to graduation. What do you guys think?

Hey BhsOL, I didn't think BHS had a highlight film this year...at least I haven't seen one. When did you get a copy?

How many schools make Highlight Films for the teams? Who has the best ones? How long after the season do you get it?

Man, what happened tonight.... I was surprised that Riverdale fell off after such a big win the night before. Did they get the big head over getting a couple of runs off of Price or are these teams just evenly matched. How does Oakland compare to these two? Do you know any baseball or did you just get on here to gloat last night?

Uhh Dog, I was at the game and you don't remember well. You guys didn't score a TD in overtime. Blackman kicked a FG and then you guys went for a TD on 4th down and didn't get it. As bad as you hate BHS, did you hate them worse last year when they beat you or the year before. I guess your zone exemption cost you 3 playoff wins and playing in some very exciting (albeit) losing contests versus Riverdale. Shoot, If you can't beat 'em, join em.

Hey Oline, no offense, but your Oakland team benefited quite a bit from a very strong junior class. Ebal, Crawfords, Frame, Smitty...those guys really helped. You may have gotten good leadership from your Seniors, but I dare say that the juniors were the real 'meat' of your team. I don't see how a team with Carter, Hill and some others went 0-8 though at the freshman level.

Hey Riverdale... I agree with you on several of your points. However, as a player who went to both schools...you and many Riverdale people don't realize that much of the 'bad blood' was started when some of the kids 'rezoned' to Blackman were alienated and put down by many adults at RHS for leaving....maybe that is why my former teammate feels the way he does, right or wrong.

one qb you better not count out is Brett Emerson from Blackman, he will really surprise people this year. He could've been the starter last year, but will make up for it this year.

Wasn't Butler the one that Blackman claimed was working out illegaly at Riverdale last year?

Hey 4Fan, Oakland does appear to be very solid next year...Ebalaroza is an awfully good QB and a great kid from what I hear...I hope he plays more to his sophomore year. Do you think Oakland can beat RHS though? Riverdale, of late, just seems to find a way to beat Oakland even when OHS is just as good as them. Also, Siegel won't affect Oakland next year, it will take a few years for the impact to be realized don't you think..I mean with only Fr. and So. going, most of those kids wouldn't contribute much next year anyways.

Lilpea, I don't think Boro Dog was trying to say anything was wrong with Rutherford County football...I think he was trying to determine the reason there are not more players signing college scholarsips with the amount of good teams inside the county. I really think that is what he is trying to get feedback on. Personally, I feel that this counties top players year after year do not meet the academic requirements to qualify for Division I eligiblity. There is no doubt that olineathlete has the grades...he is just taking his time to decide, which may be the case with many others, however, I doubt you will see these guys who are taking there time sign with Division I schools. D-I schools usually won't wait on you, you sign on signing day or they move on. Don't you see it that way J.P.?

Boy, if that is true I would say that the coaches at Oakland, Blackman and Riverdale just got a lot happier. After the war stories from Oakland when Butler was there, I bet parents are lining up to not send their kids to Siegel. At least now we know why Nolan has waited so long.

What's the latest on Siegle, have they hired a coach yet?
