100% agree! The Levy girl is a true talent. East did a great job making things hard for her. That's probably the hardest 19 points she's scored all season. East has a great team and coaching staff. They have fun while playing. It's a blessing to see two District 10AA school win the AA state tourney back to back. Great for the city of Nashville

Can we go ahead and crown them state champs for next year too? I don't seem them losing. Stewarts Creek games will be good games, but other than that....They're unbeatable.

East Nashville pulls this out tonight. #2 for Upperman is a true talent - she's special! She'll be playing against 3-4 guards that match her same athletic abilities. East can play fast or slow, if they dictate the pace of the game & limit their fouls they have a good shot. This will be the best game of the day. Good luck to both programs!

You must haven't seen East Nashville. They'll win vs. Creekwood

Rutherford County is a different breed of basketball, just face it. It's a hotbed for girls basketball. No one in the state of TN can compete with that brand of basketball. It's nothing personal - just facts. When you see the Uconn's, South Carolina's, and Notre Dame's IN ATTENENCE you'll probably understand. No other district in the state draws that type of attention. Sorry.

Blackman, Oakland, Riverdale, and now Stewarts Creek is probably one of the best districts in the SE. They have high major D1 talent on their teams - nightly. Lets be honest here.

You can't be serious. You honestly and truly believe that those teams can compete w/ Rutherford Co. basketball? Those teams would be 5th place & below in this district.

They have an awesome team. I'm even more impressed, now knowing that they're that young. Their future is bright. I think the youth will come into factor vs. East Wednesday night, though. Should be a good one!

East Nashville girls team had a big article in the Tennessean I came across. Thought I'd share. Great AA team with Lejae, Erica, Kia and a lot other players not mentioned. I've seen both CPA and East Nashville CPA has a very good sophomore SG Kendeni Hambrick can score from all over the place. She probably averages around 20. They have a PG that committed to Shorter University and a really good post player. They're solid and well coached. East Nashville is 23-2 with a loss to Riverdale and have 3 guards with D1 offers so they are really good as well.

Bo Hodges Maplewood should be a finalist. Mr./Ms. Basketball candidates are very rare for Metro Nashville players. Politics in my eyes play a huge factor. Bo is definitely deserving

Thanks. She deserves the notoriety for her efforts. Kia Upton does in fact have a offer from Lipscomb. I have a very good relationship with their Team Brandan Wright summer program coaches and her family member who coaches at East Middle as well. She'll be good too. The coach at East is doing a great job with those girls, and has managed a ton of talent. I've become a fan of the East Nashville program. They're great for Metro. Erica Haynes Overton is deserving for Miss Basketball. Hopefully the coaches feel the same.
