Agreed. I paused it just before the ball hit the pylon and the runner's right foot is very close to sideline so perhaps that is what the ref saw?? No way to tell from the angle. The ref was not very decisive with the call.

MBA with a huge stop. Here comes the onside.

    Playoffs AAA

McCallie scored to make it 28-27 with Les than a minute. Going for 2 for the win.

Indeed. Watching the BA-Baylor game that is now tied at 32.

Booger likin' BA over Baylor? Baylor can score in bunches and other than the Pope game, BA has been struggling on offense.
  6. I did not take it as pointing fingers, rather you are excited about LA and the program. The perspective is much different when ones team is on top and without much history. Until 2016 or 17, LA, CPA, etc were still playing with the publics. Moving to Nashville a little over 8 years ago, I have actually learned much about TN football from Booger and his "isms". Thank God for the Google He does seem to nose stuff.

Even though Pope is out of the playoffs, I am very excited for tonight's games. Both host schools typically have excellent broadcasts.
  8. Agreed. ESBN does a great job- even showing many replays and highlights of them beating my Pope-sters 38-7 last week
  9. I think the issue some have is that Lipscomb avoided the competition for years and now that they have new found glory are quick to call out schools that are playing by the rule/class that LA helped to create. To use your example of BA and Ensworth, I don’t recall you and/or the LA crowd arguing for more teams to play up so there are more teams in the D2-AAA playoffs.
  10. Can schools get around not broadcasting "live" if there is a few minute delay? Every game I watched on NFHS seemed to be about 5 minutes behind in real-time. Turned on the Maryville game at 6 Nashville time...saw the kickoff...yet on the Coast T scoreboard Maryville was already up 7-0. Turned on the Mt Juliet game with under 3 minutes to play and people were posting game over.
  11. Thanks for the details. I did not realize some of the issues might be the bandwidth of the host school. I bounced around to a few different NFHS televised games - some were good and others were not good at all - grainy and laggy.
  12. My team is out however as a D2-AAA guy I don't think you could ask for a better semi-final than McCallie at MBA and Baylor at BA...it's the heaviest of the heavyweights. Could have an all Nashville final or an all Chatt final in Chatt.

I think most would pick this for the final...with good reason. How good is the east region this year with MBA, Baylor and McCallie finishing 1,2 & 3? Next year add to LA and BA to the east.

    Playoffs AAA

So next week it's Baylor at BA McCallie at MBA. That's about as heavy as it gets with the heavyweights in D2-AAA.

Loaded for me. I turned to another game after LA got up by 21. You may want to check with AOL

Baylor 28 MUS 7 H Minchey and Robb both out for Pope.

    Now 14-0 Baylor Q2
  18. That's a discussion to be had with MJ. My point was that I have seen CR and Beech each play once this year. And on those occasions, I thought Beech was impressive and CR was not. Chalk it up to any given Friday however it is what these eyes saw...
  19. Raining like the Bible this morning here in Hendersonville. Does today's weather favor any teams? All games played on turf minus McCallie at Ensworth. Both of these teams like to throw it and Ensworth has had some trouble establishing the run game. Pope's best RB got hurt last week so if he is out they will struggle to run it.
  20. If Beech and CR were to advance, I think Beech wins easily. I saw, in person, CR lose to a 2-9 Father Ryan team by 3 scores. Underwhelmed with CR to say the least. The way Beech ran all over Brentwood a few weeks ago was impressive.
  21. I lobbied with the Pope AD to no avail. Supposedly we will be back in 2 years.
  22. I believe the same rules apply.
