  1. SS beat Bolivar by 22 Why would Chester be without their coach?
  2. Fayette Ware and Southside will be in the finals and I'll give the edge to Coach Fuller and the Hawks. I think that Lexington and whoever finishes 4th will get blown out in the regionals. FW & SS will survive and it will be SS and Dyersburg in the championship
  3. FW will lock up 1st place at home and that is big because it will keep them out of Lexington's bracket. SS will have to face Lexington in semifinals while FW will get 1 of the bottom 3 Chester could force a tie for 5th with a win and then with a coin flip could travel to Bolivar and force McNairy to Lexington, that is a huge difference so that game is the big one this week. McNairy win sends them to Bolivar with no chance of going to Lexington. Bolivar will be 4th seed because of their victory over Lexington Finals will be FW vs SS and it is a toss up
  4. SS laid a thumping on McNairy. How'd they shut down Walker?
  5. No coin flip. Bolivar beat Lexington and Mcnairy lost both games. Bolivar will have 1 more win no matter what happens this week Chester can tie Mcnairy by beating them Friday
  6. Bolivar locks up 4 seed with win over Lexington, first round home game vs Mcnairy or Chester Big advantage for the tigers
  7. I have to agree with Bobcats83, no upsets in 14AA and Dyersburg wins region
  8. Chester, Bolivar and McNairy aren't good enough t beat 1 of top 3. Don't see that happening If it were to then I predict only the 1 seed makes it to region semifinals
  9. Looks like a toss up. Lexington, SS and FW going to be a battle and district semifinals will be huge to be in 1st and avoid the other 2 because it also looks like a battle for 4th but those teams aren't very good
  10. Should be an interesting district race. Lexington is 2-0 and Mcnairy 0-2 with every body else 1-1 Looks like a lot of parity within the district.
  11. There is a good chance they can get swept anyway but If 1 of the top 2 teams gets upset in district and had to travel to top 2 seeds in 13AA, yes that's exactly what I'm saying
  12. They both took a beating. If there's an upset in district 14AA 1st round they could get swept this year. Should be interesting
  13. Bolivar and Lexington both go down tonight. Don't believe that 14AA is very strong and could get swept in region
  14. Wow. CC over Bolivar. Looks like 4th place will be a battle between these 2 and McNairy
  15. Won some district and region championships. Lost substate at home and on the road. 0-3 in state tournament so not good not good at all.
  16. Selmer Middle school is hosting Jv days on December 3 and January 14. Contact Coach Forsythe at forsythes@mcnairy.org for details
  17. Excellent question and I believe the answer is $$$. Doing state basketball, baseball and softball tournaments in a weeks time actually makes more $$ than if they had additional classes and took 2 weeks. At least IMO that's what the powers that be believe. I think attendance at state tournaments would increase if games were spread out more and rural areas would better be able to attend and at basketball tournament it is the small schools which bring the people and the $. TSSAA apparently wants the host town to be happier with full hotels than a full gym. Has to be about $$$. No other reason
  18. Problem is state tournament format. Go to 6 classes like Mississippi and play boys and girls at same time over a 2 week period. Current format sucks. Have to win 3 games in 3 days and 1 team from one classification gets a day off and other doesn't. Time to change
