  1. Guys sorry to dissapoint but the state champion is coming from middle tennessee again this year.
  2. CaptainTree with the speed of Hilsboro's defense I'm sure Coach Blade will take points any time he is within the red zone. He has more confidence in the kicking game this year then he has in the past few years so that is why I called a field goal at some point in the game. You are right he does usually go for it on fourth down calls so it will be interesting to see how the game develops. Hillsboro does not have much of a kicking game so this might be a differentiator for Indy.
  3. Come on Raven you are completely discounting all the good teams Indy has played up to this point! People were saying the same thing last year and look what happened... You can be the most physical team you want but if you can't execute and be disciplined you don't win it's that simple. We know what we will get with Hillsboro so there's no secret there. Hopefully they underestimate us and we do what we always do and that's win. I think you are scared to face Indy and that's why you are always dogging us. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that Indy's defense is returning 7 of 11 starters from last years team that defeated CR 49-7. Food for thought!
  4. GWAVE1 I agree 100% with you! Hillsboro will give us everything we can handle on Friday night. It will come down to coaching and not letting the Hillsboro playmakers in space too much. We remember back 3 years ago when we were 6-4 in the playoffs with Vic Wharton and Rashaan Gaulden and started gelling towards the end of the season. We beat 2 undefeated teams in the first two rounds so it can be done and whichever team is playing the most disciplined ball will win.
  5. Wave88 all good! Your comment on the announcer is noted and we'll make sure he tones down his act. Indy don't need any homers on our sidelines!
  6. Indy is definitely in for a big test this week against Hillsboro and this will be a close game just like last year. Indy gets it done in all three phases of the game offense, defense and special teams. Indy wins this 31-28 and moves onto the next round.
  7. 5A Central you got our attention now let's see what you can do and maybe we'll see you in round 4!
  8. Come on wave88 you know it will come down to one in Region 5 (Indy) and one in Region 6 (Cane Ridge).... I know you love your Region 6 but you gotta give Indy our due respect...
  9. Either way it would be very quite playing Indy in the home stands for Beech ASSUMING you can get past Cane Ridge. You may want to invest in a cannon or something a little better than a horn
  10. werazzlin Indy is still #1 until somebody knocks us off big boy. You do your part and we do ours and we'll happily travel to the bucs stadium but you won't hear the cannon going off much my friend that's a fact. Your offense may try to play keep away but your defense will get exposed very quickly. Probably wouldn't be much of a high scoring game like we are used to because you chew up clock but it would be a healthy win nonetheless.
  11. RavenNation turnovers are one thing but giving up 21 points in the first half to Summit's running game doesn't sound like great disciplined playoff defense to me. There's no doubt CR was the better team but like I said in an earlier post we'll see how you like being hunted instead of the one doing the hunting.... We get everybody's best shot every week and we respond. We both got hour hands full this week with Beech and Hillsboro so we can't overlook them at all. I hope we can both continue our winning ways this week so we can get the dream match up that everybody wants to see.
  12. Indy vs Hillsboro should be a great game and I would hope that it would be the game of the week. Indy's 26 game winning streak vs potentially the best team playing in Region 6 at this time. Something's gotta give! Indy will take this in a close one by one score.
  13. MJ will take this one as the Raptors have been too inconsistent throughout the season. That big OL will grind out a win.
  14. East Gerry A LOT of other teams have said the same thing about Indy's winning streak with the same result. All we do is win! Hillsboro will be a great challenge but they have to come to our house and it should be an electric atmosphere. Spreads mean nothing all you have to do is beat your opponent by 1 point to move onto the next round.
  15. The big boys from Page grind this one out and take it. We know plenty of the players in this senior class and they won't let this one slip away.
  16. GWAVE1 I wanted to give the Gallatin Green Wave a shout out for a good season! My assessment of the team is that they have some fine athletes and talent on both sides of the ball. The main difference between Gallatin and Indy was that the Gallatin players are still raw in their talent and the Indy players have a little more development. Injuries are part of the game and Indy has had plenty this year, so the development of not only the starters but the backup players is critical. If Gallatin is looking to take that next step then they need to have a strong offseason workout program that holds everybody accountable and total buy in with the players and coaches. There's too much talent there not to be successful!
  17. tandem before you start getting all crazy about region 6 being so great, you need to look no further at Independence at the top of region 5 before you make any predictions of champions my friend. At 26-0 we have no intention of giving up our spot at the top. We eliminated #4 seed Gallatin 35-0 and I'm sure everyone will say it would have been a different story if Mason had played and we wished he did but we were without our starting RB as well and that didn't slow us down at all. You can't build a championship team around just one player. Cane Ridge was getting their tails whipped 21-0 by our region 5 #4 seed Summit until they woke up in the second half. All the teams in middle tennessee that are left are capable to run the table but all roads to the championship still come thru Indy and that's a fact.
  18. DB don't be intimidated by these Smyrna Bulldog puppies... Yes they are big and physical but they make a lot of mistakes! Their kicking game is very weak and should be exposed. They had the great idea to schedule our 5A State Champion Independence Eagles as their Homecoming opponent and lost 21-7 with 7 turnovers. Casey went down with an injury in 1st quarter which was unfortunate but the backup is very quick and fast. Their 3 star QB was running for his life and threw 3 picks... Their pass blocking is not very good so get them in passing situations. You will need a bend but don't break mentality on defense as they will get their yards but sooner or later they will make a big mistake and you need to capitalize on it! Embrace the challenge
  19. Not so fast BlackHavenSenator all roads to the state championship still has to go thru us at Independence and we'll be all to happy to come to Memphis and show you....
  20. Nobody wants a quitter on their team - period!
  21. GWAVE1 I like your aggerssive style! Indy load the box and stop the strong Gallatin run attack and Gallatin lining up in press coverage to stop Indy's strong passing attack. That sounds like a blueprint for a great game! Let's get it on as I'm sure both teams are ready!
  22. GWAVE1 I'm confident that Gallatin will represent very well on Friday night and it should be an electric atmosphere for the start of the playoffs!
  23. Mondo44 we absolutely know he's a beast and he will get his numbers on Friday night but I don't see anyone else who can help him much. Really glad that Hendersonville is not in the playoffs this year because we saw you guys 3 years in a row and that dang offense gives everybody headaches!!! Sorry for the seniors tho.
  24. GWAVE1 which teams that you played actually threw the ball more than 20 times?? Don't get the wrong impression that we are overlooking Gallatin in any way, shape or form. On the contrary with all the comments floating around there that Region 6 is this super region the playoffs have presented themselves exactly how we want them. If we are going to get our due respect we need to go thru the best and we don't shy away from that challenge at all. (Assuming all wins) First Round we go up against the best running back in 5A, second round we will probably have the hottest team in Region 6 with Hillsboro and all their size and speed and then we need to go on the road against Cane Ridge who should be undefeated. That's what we are preparing for one by one and it won't be easy that's for sure but it's what going to have to happen to get ours!
