Well said if I do say so myself. Player of the year to me does seem a little less for him. Player of the Millenium sounds about right seeing he has more character and integrity in his little toe than any 20 people in RB. Give me a break. Give it to somone who maybe deserves it. He shouldn't even be in the running.

ooltewah played a great game last night but enough about them because they're season is over...they've been talked about more than anyone else on these boards and now the drama can stop good luck to soddy and red bank

Anyone's beatable. Soddy is thoroughly stacked this year...all throughout the lineup. There's no real flaws anywhere and they have superb coaching. Hands down pick to win state.

Kristin Walker and Kim Patterson of Red Bank both went yard already...Walker off of Boyd's Christian Hudgens and Patterson off MC Vercoe.

Yeah, but RB's best pitcher also hit one out off MC Vercoe.

I'm going with Nikki Waters on this one.

You have to look at who pitchers face before you say how good they are...i.e., Tiffany Walker--not to take anything away from her. She's a GREAT athlete and pitcher, but not the best pitcher in Chattanooga. Nikki Waters, although a sophomore, has and will continue to do great things for Soddy. She's young, but still overpowers most teams. East Ridge has some great pitchers--Paige Goins and Tiffany Baker. Brittany Rice is overrated, she hasn't been talked about much and it's already her junior year. Maggie Renfro has done some decent things for Red Bank, although she's not your average standout pitcher, she's still good. Mary Catherine Vercoe is considerably a better hitter than pitcher, but she's very tough to beat when she's on top of her game. GPS's Hollaway will be worth following in the next couple of years too.

Red Bank had a good showing against Boyd, but there's plenty of improvement to come. They had only been outside the day before the game. This is the first year they've had a completely defensively solid team and by the time their first game rolls around, they'll have only gotten better.

Ooltewah won't make it out of the district...with Soddy being a powerhouse and Red Bank's five seniors plus junior Kim Patterson, I don't think they have much of a shot. The best thing they've got going for them is Lamar Lasley as a new assitant coach.
