Coach Tate will for sure get one more year that's just what I heard from a school board member say himself..being that it's just the girls basketball coaches second year id say he would prolly get another year as well..coach burner just took over the boys basketball team and is starting from scratch but has a ton of talent..only problem is first 4 games are vs 3A basketball teams and out of the first 10 games he really only has maybe 1 or 2 W's..so next year after a schedule change I'd look for him to win a good amount of em..baseball I have no clue and cross country I have no clue

I don't believe that coach Tate or anybody on the staff would prevent a player from reporting anything..maybe it could be players intimidating other players not to tell which could be quite possible..I hope that that doesn't happen but I'd say it prolly does..as for the reference to the joke of a school board member that had hard feelings bout being removed I'm quite happy with his replacement..I just hope that his replacement and the ones that to got on the board will be able to fix this mess on the mountain..

I wish Grundy county could move down to 2A just makes more sense for us to be in the same region and class as Marion and bledsoe

My prediction for this weeks games Cannon@york 21-35 I believe that York will get their first region win this week but cannon ain't a pushover if York plays sloppy cannon could easily pull out the W Dekalb@smith 17-21 I look for smith to make this a statement game as this will most likely decide who finishes 2nd in the region. Both teams have good playmakers and is really a toss up.. Sequatchie@bledsoe 35-14 this game is nothing but bragging rights being both teams absolutely hate each other which has made some amazing games here lately..I think Bledsoe keeps it close in the first half but Sequatchie pulls away with the W. Upperman@grundy 27-28 uppermans lost some really tough games this year and their one win came from a bad Monterey team..that being said they are really tough to judge..if grundy comes out and plays like they did against Watertown in the first half then I believe Grundy could pull off the miracle upset on homecoming night.. What is everybodies opinion on this weeks games?

Supposedly it was brought up to them by a school director that is no longer there..that school director also tried to have them shut down a couple elementary schools which would have saved roughly 5 mil a year and could have done paid off the new high school..I find it hard to believe but the more I think about it the more I find it plausible because our school board and county board has been so corrupt over the years

I heard a rumor today that Grundy has been falsely sending in bigger numbers then what's actually at the school..rumor has it Grundy really only has round 570 kids would be lucky to have 600..guess they only doing it to get extra money from the state..now whether this is true or not I dunno just what I heard

It doesn't all fall on the coaches for the actions that 16-18 year old kids are doing..how bout some parents step up in their kids lives and show em some discipline..a 16-18 year old kid doesn't need his hand held and told what to do and how to do it..if he doesn't know right from wrong that's the utter failure on the parents hands not the coaches..what can a coach do besides make a kid run sprints or other form of excercising? He can't lay hands on them that's not his place to yea he can kick them off the team or suspend them a game or two but are the kids learning their lesson? The answer is prolly not so how bout we start holding parents accountable for the actions that their children make..maybe then and only then will parents start disciplining their children and show them how to be adults..I'm not saying it's all parents but let's face it the ones that are raised right don't cause no trouble..it's not the job of the coach or the teacher to babysit and make a kid behave their job is only to teach them the essential tools to survive on their own..otherwise this process will continue to repeat itself forever..

Don't overlook Grundy bud..played y'all close last year and it looks like your next 6 games could be tough..cannon county ain't no push over this year it's possible DC could finish 5th or worse..prolly won't happen but it's possible

It's homecoming night for Grundy I've seen two different Grundy's Friday night if they play like they did in the first half then this could be a good ball game especially if cash is in at qb

We all only have one person on our district that can be on the board..that's just how it is..we got a new board full of members let's give them time and our trust to make the proper changes they need to make..and if you want to see changes I recommend going to the monthly school board meetings

We got enough crooked politicians in our county who do back door shady stuff I think we need to hire someone who is not from here but has the experience to run the position we are needing

If ccs still runs spread no huddle they will beat signal and close out the win in the second half..ccs wins 35-14

The overall record between these two schools is 2-2 counting playoffs..this could be the last time these two teams play each other in a long time would be nice to see Grundy take the last win of the series

Tnprep will give u a lil history about these two teams but other then this the Murphy fair book and film that's it

I agree 100% the playmakers are there to do it..couple bad plays fall either way decides the outcome of this game

How many industries are in whitwell or signal mountain? I agree that grants are not always a good thing to depend on but we're talking about pads here something that we would only have to buy once every 10-15 years..I'm glad that your family has experience as teachers mine does to in face my whole family is teachers..the bad doesn't out way the good in this..I would donate a lot of money to a south Grundy high school and I know a lot of other people that would too just to see it happen..yes the first few years would be rough but I believe that in the long run it would be for the best if we did it
