I've sit back and would read post after post of the problems DB football was having. And watched as poster after poster would post on what they thought would be best and what needed to be changed and who was to blame. From the coaches, parents, schedule and even the band. But when are the players held accoundable for not executing on the field. The coaches can have the perfect game plan and make all the right play calls. But if the players don't execute it on the field then its no good. That is what makes teams like Maryville who they are. They rarely hurt themselves with turnovers and penalties. They let the other teams make mistakes and take advantage of it. Maryville has something going right now and for the last 15 plus years that any school and team would love to have. But is it because players in blount county are that much better than the rest of the state? Or is it EXECUTION? Instead of playing the blame game. Let's get behind the players and the COACHES!

What about the penalties and fumbles and poor blocking at Oak Ridge. The 21-7 halftime lead to WB blown and poor tackling. EXECUTION!!!

They've got to execute! The coaches can call play's and make the perfect game plan. But if it's not executed. Then what good is it? Everybody wants to blame coaches, Schedules, Parents and some blame the band. LM*O! When are the players held accountable​ for what happens on the field?

No, I wouldn't prefer them to go back playing those schools! That's what got DB in this shape to begin with. Teams use to come into J Fred and knew they we're in for a dog fight. And when they went to other teams field it was the same way. DB had the SWAGGER and other than them doing the pregame war hope with the band. When they get to the sidelines there's no energy. I understand about being upset with the coaches cause they call the plays and make the game plans. But it also has to fall on the player's as well to execute it. And when they get down in a game, heads start to hang and they lose some of there fight. And compared to past DB teams where they would BUCKLE DOWN and get after it and not be pushed around and bring the fight back to them. If you ever played any sports you know there's times in games where you're going to be tested. And what you do at that moment makes you a contender or pretender!

Watching DB this yr i figured a few things.DB isn't that good and worse than that when they play a good team.There next 3 games the teams are a combined 10-1.I say HV 31-14.Until these kids buckle down and get that DB SWAGGER BACK.As long as there in this conference.We need to get use to seeing them stay middle of the pack.
