  1. I believe I speak for everyone here when I say thank you to our Vets from the bottom of my heart for your service and sacrifice. We have the best Vets, don't we folks. Praying for an injury-free game tonight against 2 great teams. Although, I wouldn't be mad if ya'lls noseguard wanted to sit this one out tonight! Here's to hoping we are able to give you guys a game this year
  2. "Good" is debatable. Will be missing a tremendous amount of explosiveness and the line play will in no way be any better.
  3. As good as the Warbritton brothers were, they are even better people.
  4. What # and position is the big SEC defensive lineman?
  5. Hillary truly has the charisma of a lizard. She lost the lower class vote to a man who literally lives in a golden skyscraper baring his name. But on a serious note, I've gone from somewhat amused to quite confused about a few things. First... Is the wall actually happening then? Like, that's going to be a thing? How is that going to work? Is the "plan" still for Mexico to pay for it? What if they won't? Isn't it a problem when your president runs on a platform that seems impossible to implement? Second, and more seriously, is Trump still planning to deport ~12 million people? Is the plan for that still deportation squads? Third, has Trump said whether his plan for ISIS involves missiles, or boots on the ground, or anything like that? I've only heard "we're going to take them out and then get out". Which leads me to: Fourth, does Trump plan to do ANYTHING in terms of the stability of Iraq, and how does he feel about Assad and the situation in Syria in general? Fifth... Ugh, where's Trump at with his proposed Muslim ban and registry these days. He's done away with THAT abomination now at least, right? Lastly, has Trump refined his view on global warming so that it's no longer a Chinese hoax? Or is he still going on with that stuff? Like, even if you're the type to not think that global warming is caused by man, that's at least more understandable than saying it was all a ruse made up by the Chinese...
  6. Back to football talk on a football thread... How has NC's QB looked thus far? Did he play any last year? What are his strengths? Sorry I don't have a single clue about NCS this year. If you can stop our run game, it will be a long night for us I'm afraid!
  7. It was one poster referring on how to stop #11. That's all. And he's not a Huntingdon poster. We all know how great and almighty NC is and how tough of a task it's going to be for the Mustangs. We are still going to load the bus and travel down I-40 and play. I just hope it's not as ugly as last year! Good luck to your Eagles. I'm excited about our end of the bracket. Should make for some great matchups.
  8. Not going to be a walk in the park for Dresden for the next 3 weeks. Although I truly believe Dresden is the best team in the West, I've seen crazier things happen. Wayne County, NCS, Trenton, Huntingdon, Union City are all pretty good teams that may have a say. I look for the cold, wet, and windy weather to play a part in the next few weeks as well. Good luck to the West. Praying for an injury-free playoff! I just hope whoever comes out of the West isn't so beaten down by the time they arrive in Cookeville
  9. Same thing goes for Huntingdon. Not sure which team will show up. My honest opinion is that this will be a very close, evenly matched game. Sounds like both teams are loaded with speed. This game may very well be won in the trenches. It could possibly come down to the wire or even be a blow-out for either team. Good luck traveling! Will be a little chilly at kickoff this week.
  10. What's the scoop on TC's athletes? New QB? Heard there is some serious speed on this team.
  11. Cats by a lot! Rice & Company are ready for a long playoff run.
  12. Huntingdon coming into this game with a huge loss to Region foe Wayne County, while HR-B is riding a 4-game winning streak. Thoughts?
  13. Make no joke about it, Huntingdon has some serious speed across the board. May even the fastest team Huntingdon has had in a decade. However, what concerns me the most about this team is the toughness, or lack thereof. The only time Huntingdon has been hit in the mouth all year, they begged for mercy. Wayne County is a team that marks their identity off of toughness. If the Stangs aren't coming into this game ready for a fight, then they don't deserve to win anyway. This is the perfect opportunity to show everyone across the state what they are made of. Buckle up Stangs, and be ready to fight because I promise the Wildcats will be.
  14. Finally... ready for a competitive game on Friday!! Also, finally will be football weather as well. Praying for no injuries for both teams. Safe travels for the Wayne Countians. https://giphy.com/gifs/8ceF5nLeLZayk/html5
  15. Nice chance of rain with a high of 68 degrees on Friday. Could weather play a factor for Dresden's high octane offense?
  16. I will be there myself. I would suggest everyone else to do the same. Excited to see UC, but I must say the hype train for Dresden is 100% REAL this year. Will be a showdown for sure. Good luck to both teams!!
  17. The scariest thing about Dresden isn't even their QB in my honest opinion. It's the fact that they have a RB and about 4 WR's that will catch any ball that is thrown to them and take it to the house. They have some serious athletes across the board, and this offense is designed to use all of them. That is hard to defend at any level, much less 1A High School football! Lastly, don't doubt the Lions to grind it out if need be. They have some serious size up-front and one of the strongest/shiftiest RB's in West TN. Not trying to predict an outcome just yet, because Lord knows UC will arrive in Dresden on Oct. 14 ready for a dogfight. I hear UC is banged up at the moment. However, this wouldn't persuade me to doubt the Tornadoes whatsoever. It's "Next Man Up" at Union City, and always has been. The clock will be their ally. I'm anticipating a low-scoring game, with such high emotions coming into this contest.
  18. 14.66 per rush? Wow. I remember seeing this kid in last year's Championship game. Nice to hear he's tearing it up again this year.
  19. Although I am a West TN resident (but a long time TN high school football fan), I must say it is so good to see Harriman having the season they are having. Hoping to see them play at some point this year. Good luck to you guys the rest of the season!
  20. Huntingdon's enrollment is 330. Dresden - 362 Hollow Rock Bruceton - 184 Humboldt - 282 Peabody - 389 Union City - 463
