CA had over 300 + yards rushing in game #1. Eagleville had 171 total offense. While it was still a close game on the scoreboard,, statistically CA dominated. I think it will be another great game but I think CA will come out on top again. Not worried about Waverly. We've got to beat Eagleville AGAIN. They are a good team and have a good QB. Shutting him down is the key to winning the game. It's not their running backs or their receivers that get them out of trouble, it is his legs!! He possesses the uncanny ability to know when the pull the ball down and scramble. CA made some mental mistakes in the first game. One in particular gave them an easy touchdown. I believe that it will be another close game, but I believe CA will pull it out again. As far as Waverly is concerned, I have only seen a couple of highlights of their team / QB. I am interested to know how he would do if he was really pressured, something I think we may have the ability to do. Obviously, he has a good arm. Has their receivers faced a really good secondary? Hope we get a chance to meet. First things first. We have to get by a good Eagleville team. One game at a time.

I think it is quite humorous that "people say Eagleville would be the only team outta region 5 to stay with Waverly in a game" when CA has already beaten Eagleville. Maybe it is because CA is new to 2A and people don't know much about them. CA and Eagleville match up again Friday night. Should be a great game.

CA 49 - Hickman Co 10 Naysayers! CA played a terrible 1st half. They can't do that against a good Eagleville team. In the 2nd half total domination.

Thanks! CA had been the dog for years. Everybody's favorite homecoming team to play. Years ago some very insightful people started the youth program. It has paid dividends to our varsity program. The past few years we are seeing the benefits from it.

That was a tough game!! My son has been playing for 11 years. I dread every time we play Chapel Hill!!! Never an easy game.

I love all the jawing about CA. We've played some pretty good talent this year. I was really skeptical at moving up but to be honest now, I really am a believer. At the beginning of the year, we had a lot of transition going on. Starting QB goes out 1st game, freshman comes in and we beat Nashville Christian and played well against 4A Spring Hill (our only loss), two senior lineman were out the first 4 games, new faces in week 3. The team has settled down and jelled around each other. There are no selfish players on the team, just a desire to win. No team in the playoffs should be taken lightly. Any team can be beaten. I hope we do play Waverly. I am excited to see their QB and what we can do with him. Our defensive backs will have to step it up for sure, but I wouldn't count on a cake walk by Waverly.
