My thinking is Ncs by 20 over HuntingdonWayne co over Ncs barely and Dresden vs Wayne co to determine the eventual state champion. That game is a toss up for me. Don't let Ncs fool you. They are a very good football team that will ease off the pedal when ahead. A lot of those wins could have been worse. I still believe Wayne co has their number this year

No disrespect here but ncs is 4 touchdowns better. Wayne county will be the only team that can give them a game in the west. They have been holding back on some things they can scheme until they need them. Not as good as last year but still a top 3 team. The big nose guard can run the ball from the fullback position and I don't know if any 1a team can stop it consistently.

No offense to you because I don't know who you are but you are making all of us trousdale guys look bad with all of your allegations and spewing of garbage on this board. Trousdale will be back as early as next year and unstoppable in a couple so let them have their moment in the sun. The athletes go to ncs because they can start 3-4 years instead of waiting in line at Brentwood academy to get playing time 1-2 years. That probably has a lot to do with it. Along with that small school atmosphere. The same reason I moved my kids to trousdale. I graduated here and wanted them to be here as well.

This whole thread is a waste of time. Everyone in trousdale knows who it will be. It was only a matter of time. The young Padawan has been learning from the yoda of 1a high school football his entire life.

have good idea who it will be next year and so does everyone else. If it happens with the talent we have coming back and coming up then trousdale will be back to competing for state championships really soon.

he had access because he drove the bus for football games and scrimmages. That's why he had access. Cameras are stationed at the pump so there is physical evidence of anyone who tries it

Could be the case. We got up on g-ville early last year and took them out of the game. May be close for a few quarters but I still think we pull away and win by 3 td's in the end. Like I said before, we have 4 boys that are very fast. No long methodical drives on offense. We will break about four sixty plus yard runs in the game and that will be the difference. Good luck to both sides and everyone else in region 5 as well.

I'm hearing the same. I don't usually compare scores but if I did.......Mtcs 34 Jo byrns 14 Tc 28 Jo byrns 7 Almost identical point spread. I was told by a jo byrns friend that they played a lot better against us. Begs the question did jo byrns have a bad game against mtcs or did they make jo byrns look bad. Mtcs plays Ncs before us so I would say if mtcs keeps it within 2 td's then we will have a tough game on our hands. The game will be at home. That can only help on the mystic creekbank. I hear they have a pretty good qb but we have a stout defense. It is the strength of our team. Keep in mind king jacket that we should have all of our missing starters back by then.

Three teams out of this region have won a state championship since 2012. Ncs- last year (1a) Trousdale- 2013 (2a) Gordonsville-2012 (1a) A fourth team jo byrns has been in the championship game as recently as 2008 & 2010

I would say mtcs (middle to christian school) and Ncs. I think we win all others easily.

We do toward the end of the season. We should have our 4 missing starters back by then. That will help our chances against Ncs.

hard to say. They have most of their starters back from a team that made it to the championship game last year but I think they were the fifth best team overall. Wayne county, Dresden, union city, Ncs, and maybe even Huntington and Peabody were better teams last year but all were in the same bracket. This year greenback will have south Pittsburg as their only real challenge in the east in my opinion. You have Dresden, union city, Wayne county, Huntington, Ncs, and trousdale in the west and to say greenback could win more than half of those games head to head would be a stretch. Unfortunately we will never know.

i agree agent. I'm from neighboring trousdale. They have a stud rb along with a solid supporting cast.

can't believe you left Watertown out. They are a good ball team again this year. You don't have a #9. I'd slip them in at that spot

thanks for the info. He must have worked hard in the offseason. All I remember is a good rb from them last year. Either way, his numbers are impressive so far this season.

they may surprise me but they couldn't handle our speed last year and all those kids are back this year. I will admit that our line isn't very big but only one senior on line(I think) and the other half still not old enough to drive. They do play hard and size and strength will come with age. I was wrong on a previous post, we actually have 4 starters that haven't played a snap yet this year and I really don't know the time frame on them. Our defense is pretty tough but our offense hasn't sustained long drives yet this year. We seem to be big play offense which makes sense with all the speed. We have some good seniors but not many at all number wise.

Starting to wonder about the boys from mtcs. They lost a lot of seniors last year but they seem to be a surprisingly good team this year. May be the team in our region to surprise some teams. May not. I'm starting to think trousdale and Ncs may have to hunker down and play some real football to get past them. Did they get new players or did they have good ones last year waiting for their turn. Does anyone know? They are putting up some points with a really good qb that no one knows anything about.
