  1. I would still trust them more than a Milan enrollment report.
  2. No, botching from the TSSAA is expected. Sometimes there is a fine line between incompetent and corrupt.
  3. I see tons of regular season blowouts as it is. Now if you're a kid from a school like Community and after your 9th grade year you develop into a good athlete and your admin absolutely doesn't care about football, why shouldn't you be able to transfer to Eagleville or Forrest where they have a need of the position you play and play on a successful team without sitting out a year. If a school chooses to not put any effort in a particular sport they won't have any players in a few years.
  4. TSSAA has been hounding rural schools while letting schools in or close to metro areas do whatever they wish. Several 1A or 2A programs will be able to upgrade positions when the 5A or 6A back up junior can transfer and play immediately without moving.
  5. If TSSAA passes a new transfer rule, all bets are off. Many of the smaller schools have benefited from TSSAA's selective enforcement policy. If all schools can utilize transfers equally we may see more parity. Much like Alabama and other teams have lost some status since everybody can pay players now in NCAA.
  6. One of the Nashville News Stations did a pro-transfer story last night on the 6:00 News. Had a TN State Rep pushing for it.
  7. Does Freedom Prep have a football team?
  8. This is the best Classification TSSAA can come up with for 2A? There are only 18 teams in 2A East. There are 27 teams in 2A West. There are 15 teams in the far west Quad (Regions 7 &8). It will be harder to win that quad than 2A East. Quad 1 has only 8 teams. None are traditional powers and you could argue none would qualify for the playoffs out of region 7 but one of these eight teams will be in the semifinals every year. There are only 45 teams in 2A when their stated goal was 50 in each division. Of the 45 teams we have -Milan, East Nashville Magnet, JCM, Memphis Business Academy, Freedom Prep, and MASE - all West schools with built-in TSSAA- approved competitive advantages. Whether it be charter designation or magnets or academies. We didn't mention the multiple co-ops still playing in 2A. Peabody was 2A then 1A and then 2A again . Five schools all which could be in the East sit between 533-537. All 5 could be placed in 2A East and even out some regions and it would make perfect sense. All 5 are traditional 2A teams (or 1A) and all 5 are under the 540 cutoff used last time. Forrest, Community, Meigs Co, Chatt Prep, and Westmoreland. 2016 Cutoff was 556. 2022 was 542. 2024 cutoff is 532.
  9. Congrats to Marion County! Sam Pickett best player in 2A! Open enrollment at Milan Academy this Monday. Look out 1A!
  10. That was tough. His leg did not look good on the video. Defensive player rolled up. Hope its an ankle and not a lower leg bone.
  11. Same scenario except that was 2A vs 4A. Same concepts, though. Marion has been impressive.
  12. Not sure Marion can line up and power football it here. They can run another 3 mins off and kick a FG and go up 2 scores.
  13. Good to be aggressive but if I was Marion’s coach I would try to run clock and take a 14-7 lead to half since we’re getting 2nd half kickoff. When you’re playing a bigger school shorten the game.
  14. Defense isn’t same without #42. Just landed on arm.
  15. Pulling for you in Chapel Hill! Suggestion - feed #4!
  16. Receiver was wide open and QB threw it straight to Marion guy.
