He is either going by what he has heard, or just trying to stir the pot, because your D is solid, I know we are not that good but we were competitive in every game we played in except against y'all. Now against Westview the score appeared that they were good but we gave them the ball inside the 10- 4 times because our punter couldn't field a snap.. LOL.

We played Waverly this year and last and I didn't notice near the drop off that people are claiming, especially when you add in how explosive the O is. That takes a lot of pressure off the D. Like I use to tell my baseball players , if you are going to make errors, then you better hit the laces off the ball.

I have seen CA play and we played Waverly , unless CA has improved 10 fold since the first of the season, Waverly will be CA by 2 TD's IMO. Waverly has a much better D than people on here are giving them credit for.

Never said best I have ever seen , considering I have watched (in person) Valdosta,GA (in 91 when I was in the Army) Hoover , AL, and numerous Florida HS teams over the years. I am not from Waverly, although coached a bunch of baseball games against them over the years.

I guess he is saying I said that, which isn't true , never said they were the best HS Football Team ever, just the best I had seen in years, Giles County was pretty good 7-8 years ago as well. When I played in the late 80's Brentwood Academy was the power house we always had to deal with.

I said best that I have seen , didn't say the best ever, never said they were unbeatable, they are in 2A so why would I compare them to any other region/division.

I will be shocked if Waverly doesn't win the Gold ball , they will have to play poorly and whoever beats them will have to play very well. Best HS Team I have seen in years. Defense is more than adequate, the offense will score at will, if you are not capable of shutting down both the pass and the run, because if you load up for one of them, they will burn you with the other, not to mention Gavin will get with you with his legs if you do not contain him. So good luck is all I can say, felt like we were playing BAMA!!! LOL

Receiving - 7 receptions fro 79 yds. or 11.3 Avg. at 8.8 yds. per game. Kick off return - 372 yds , Longest 88 yds. Interception Return yds. - 52 yds. Total yds. - 2,034 yds or 226 yds. per game. 15 TD's - 12 rushing- 2 receiving - 1 KOR. Defensive Stats: Tackles - 86 - 65 solo - 21 assisted - 9.6 Tackles per game. interceptions - 2 for 52 return yds. Tyler has done all of this on a team that is only 3-6 and is playing a lot of young players. He is the all time leading rusher in school history and still has a game to play, it would be hard to find a player that runs the ball harder than Tyler and even harder to find one that means as much to his TEAM!! IMO.. Not to mention he is a very good student and an even better young man. Before you ask he is not my SON. My son is also a Senior on this Team. Lot of great players in HS football in TN, just would like to see it go to the best player period, not the best player on the best Team, no matter who that ends up being.
