Holy crap, I will have to agree if that many flags were thrown on one team then uh, you could be correct about a problem definitely! Like I said, didn’t see or read much about that game but I seen teams basically outplay their opponent in every phase of the game but lose on the scoreboard! Honestly, I’m still in awe of the possible 20 flags thrown on one team!

Opinions are opinions and we all know what they are worth! I will say this though, if both teams win Friday night SP will be the underdogs coming into that battle! The two years GB already own plus GB having home field advantage! Yes, that’s just another opinion and with that said, WE all know neither team is just going to lay down and quit! As for the Gordy game, talk of rain and a wet field is always a reason for concern! As long as SP can handle the ball well and get the running game into motion quick SP should handle this game just like last week! Keep that same intensity we’ve seen since the win over Meigs on both sides of the ball and those young men are going to give any team a tough 4 qtr game!

Not sure what exactly happened in that game but by your comment I’ll assume the refs weren’t up to par! I have witnessed a game where one team fumbled 6 or 7 times, lead in rushing yards and passing but failed to lead in one part of the game, the scoreboard! So I can see where you say Hampton outplayed and won the game but (no disrespect intended) the final score is all that matters. Like I said, I have no clue as to what transpired with the refs! In big games you never want the refs to be the deciding factor! As for the Meigs Oneida game, I’ve only personally watched Meigs play one game and I guess I’m a sucker for underdogs! I cast my vote for Oneida....

I’m not one for really looking beyond games that have yet to be played! I admit it’s both exciting and hard not to talk about a SP GB game. Just one more pesky game separates what I’m sure will be a war of words thread! On paper both teams should advance with little problem BUT upsets have and do happen! GB is scheming for OS and SP is scheming for Gordy! Best of luck to both teams and it looks like it might be a wet Friday night so I hope they both dodge the injury bug!

Someone said a few freshman were getting quite a bit of playing time...if that’s true, that will surely help in a couple yrs.

Ha, not going to happen! Just focused on Gordy this week! By all means though, if GB fells the need to start making reservations in Cookeville go ahead! Heck, little ole SP barely can field enough players to put a team together!

Pegleg knows he has nothing to worry about Roy. Heck if you get to worried just jump in my pocket and I’ll keep those “GB orchestrates” away from you! Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve had to walk someone out of a game! Let me tell ya, those Alcoa goons didn’t have much to say when I had to intervene!

I don’t think anyone actually thinks GB will be an easy out! If they do well, let me know how that works out!

I agree, it could be a disaster to lose a couple of players due to an injury in a mercy rule game!

All I’ve seen is their schedule and scores. Guess I need to start keeping up with more teams than I have been.

If we meet up this year maybe an introduction could happen since we may have boys playing for a while!

I was asked several times this year to sign him up but I wouldn’t do it. He’s tall and big for his age but he wouldn’t comprehend exactly what he was supposed to be doing out there. No doubt I want him to play but I want him to learn as well! I didn’t want him to be a hole filler on the line playing against 7 yr olds! Rather wait a year and let him mature a little more before he straps up and wears that orange and black!

In your opinion how do you think Gordy will match up to SP this coming Friday night? I see you say you have two starters out and another limited. How good are their backups?

I have a ways to go before sports are done with me. My youngest boy is just 4 and is already ball crazy! Nothing like watching some little league games!

If it’s that bad I hope the second string is in mid 2nd qtr! These are the games that you should worry about! Injuries can happen quick and you definitely don’t won’t or need to lose any starter this week! Just stay focused and get the WIN! We will need all hands on deck and ready to play the week after!

I don’t think ole Roy likes me much! I have nothing against him or his opinions but some posters do! I believe he makes comments to get certain posters all riled up then keeps fanning the fire! I’ve heard he’s a pretty decent guy and will share his hot chocolate with people along with his fudge rounds! Might even give you a redbull if asked nicely!

Now that’s just not being fair! Fried honey bun and vanilla bean ice cream...I can see my cardiologist now shaking his head no!
