I mean, you don't HAVE to read a dictionary to know the definition of the word "steal". Nobody can STEAL a player from any team! Wish we could! We would win state EVERY year!

Since I'm FROM Anchorage, AK, I'll respond to your ignorant comment. In case you don't know the definition of the word steal, here it is: steal verb 1. take (another person's property) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it. In case you didn't know, Furman is GQ's alma mater and many HS coaches move up to the college level at some point. So when the opportunity presented itself, he took it. The Maryville High School Football staff is the best group of men I have ever met. I am PROUD that they have been the positive influences in my sons life for the last four years.

If my infant was being recruited for football based on my volleyball or cheerleading skills or his dads wrestling skills, then we must be the shizzzz. Hockey is the only real deal up in the A-K.

I can assure you, we did not move here from Alaska so that my eight month old could eventually play football for Maryville High School. But that's funny as heck!

If you meant "convenient", then why would it matter? If my son was at a school where he wasn't getting college attention, you bet I would move to another district. Doesn't necessarily have to be Maryville, but one that has a winning program!

Yep, that's my son's claim to fame. Moved here when he was eight months old, but he's "from Alaska". And he's far from little.

Is it just unheard of that most of these boys have all grown up together in Maryville and have played together through the feeder system and that helps to make them good? Yes, as a Little Reb, seven years old, our sons were handed a playbook. some of which, they still run today as seniors. Sure, you have kids who move in to the area. Whether they move in for their jobs or because they want to play football at Maryville, as long as they have a Maryville City address, it doesn't really matter.

And that above isn't hard to follow??? What is your beef with Maryville? Dang!
