  1. My homey-head thinks every player we have, on both sides of ball & special teams, are all highlight reels unto themselves. So many weapons & warriors it's unreal. Kinda unfair to opponents. Nobody believes it until they play the Lions. But afterwards they lining up to get autographs of our guys. We should be charging money for those signatures. Ha.
  2. The non-region teams Dresden is arranging will be very good teams. Better than some are expecting. Lions may not finish undefeated every year because of the calibre of upcoming non-region foes (Lion nation will be pleased!), but it'll serve us well in region play & the playoffs. Thinking we'll be undefeated in our region for several years, at worse 1 loss. Reg.7 champs every year I predict. ...Now here comes the naysayers. But mark this post. You'll see. All will see!
  3. The same final 8 this year will prob be same final 8 for this new alignment for awhile. UC & Trenton (going to 2A) will be replaced by Lake Co. & Humboldt/W.Carroll, perhaps a Reg. 8 team will make it ever so often. But same ol same ol teams will be battling it out. But I gonna be stupid & crazy & say Dresden will be there at Cookeville at least 3 out of 4 years, if not all 4 yrs, winning Gold every time. (Yes I am used to eating Crow! Ha). Thinking our trophy case will need to be expanded. Yep, I a diehard homey. Expecting nothing but the best & greatness out of our Lions.
  4. When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object... BAM! EXCITING FIREWORKS! Which I anticipate this upcoming display after Friday's game will be amazing indeed! Hope Dresden's visitors stick around to watch afterwards. They sure are pretty! Loud & colorful indeed! (Them colors will probably be the same ones both teams will have experienced within themselves during the game!.. WHAM! Stars & lights everywhere!.. But Wildcats will have seen way more than Lions. WC players may wanna hide their eyes after game unless they see these flashes & lights & BOOMS and they go into some kind of PTSD or relapse or something. That would be bad.)
  5. Weather conditions factored in? ... How comfortable their uniforms fit vs chaffing & limiting movement?.. If players been fighting/arguing with others? Sick? What they ate? Any of them smokers? Haha.. Lots of factors go into a game. But there was that crime solving TV show "Numbers" that reduced everything to mathematical equations. And that computer sports program called "Zeus" that has proven effective. So.. hmm.. Laz, do you ever go to Vegas? Or Tunica?
  6. Now I am sure our players & staff are 110% aware of Wildcat's power & abilities & skills. They are practicing & preparing this game with tons of healthy respect for WC. They know they'll have to step it up several notches. Play their best game since they started their football career in lil league. No doubt. But us fans.. Ha.. We like banter & talking smack with other fans while still respecting our opponent (most of us anyways). But doing so with self-awareness and confidence fully knowing our own teams capabilities. And as good as we playing Dresden still has room to improve. And each game we do. Even though our team's preparing without underestimating WC nor overestimating themselves, the raw facts will show our Lions' best will outdo Wildcats' best. Bet.
  7. Yes, Wildcats are indeed a worthy opponent. They have much to be proud of. No doubt. But UH OH... after Friday however they too will be victimized by the Dresden juggernaut that's coming. Too many weapons on O, too much intensity on D that dominates. We'll adjust, plan for, & neutraluze & override WC's offensive weapons & then denude their defense, and our fans are an event all to themselves that can only be experienced. 12th man power is extreme. Wildcats will have their moments, they'll get to cheer about some nice plays, but in the end our Lions are gonna roar over our smaller cat opponent. Waynesboro folk gonna believe the hype about Dresden afterwards too. This truly >IS< the year of the Lions. Won't be long now. Don't be too upset though Wildcats, it's who we are.. it's what we do.. the Lions win, and we simply ARE that much better. Thinking Lions will score the most points ever put up on WC this year (in maybe 2 or more yrs), while Wayne Co will be held to lowest score in a long time. Will be somewhat shocking to others watching from a distance, but it's just Dresden Lions being the champs they are, typical & usual results. Again.. please take it like men. Life will go on, crow will be digested, & round ball may help Wildcats get over what's gonna happen. WC's best will fall short against our BEASTS! Then y'all will learn what everyone has: Uh oh.. It happened to you too. Season over. But 13-1 ain't a bad season either. So hold your head high Wildcats, y'all did good but the clearly better team & better Mr Football will win it for Lions Friday.
  8. oh wow. I didn't know. I live in Sharon, fairly new to area. This makes it even worse. And the earlier poster asked is any other stadium/place like this in Dresden? I don't think so. I sure Roatarians are good as far as community groups go, but to greedily take all this money is to me a big negative & black eye for them. At least split it half with team. Spend money on desperately needed improvements to facilities. Do something for sports since it is the team that you are riding on the back of dear Rotarians. Literally stealing from kids the way things are now set up. Wish some rich person would build a new stadium/sports complex with gate & concessions going back into sports programs the way it should. Who ok'd this set up & arrangement with Roatary Club to begin with? Smells fishy to me. Worse than the hog farm does. Oh well.. Lions doing well in spite of it all.
  9. the way I understand it is Rotary Club gets all of Dresden's cut in all games. Locals had to form The Quarterback Club to get money straight to sports program. The QBC done lots for team. Recently the Rotary Club did make some great improvements to stadium itself. But if it's money for the team, or helping defray costs volunteer helpers/staff have, that has to come from QBC, which is a great group of supporters imo.
  10. Oh yeah.. As bad as refs were in several playoff games this year, they called a super game in Dresden vs UC. On a wet field after 2+ hour storm with cold weather there were not many penalties at all. Only one 5yd one on Lions. Dresden playing very disciplined now, peaking at right time. We will need everything like this to come together in alignment Friday. Which I think it will for Lions. Plus WC already has gold in trophy cases, it's Dresden's turn. Hasn't everyone heard about playing fair & sharing? Taking turns? Lol. It's part of what will make America great again. Right?
  11. The harder the battle the sweeter the victory. This will be the toughest game yet for both teams, and the skill position weapons with two top-tier generals running the offense, along with the big monsters in the trenches on both sides of ball are very similar on both teams. (Biggest hope is no injuries for either team.) These tangibles like stats, size, speed, records, etc are all fact-based and easy to analyze, compare & speculate upon, even make predictions based on these. Lions & Wildcats are about as close to being dopplegangers in these areas as possible. But to me, the "intangibles" are just as important, if maybe not more so. This includes a lot of stuff hard to put numbers on, and in my guts, I just think these unseen, hard-to-measure intangibles will be the secret weapons that puts Dresden over the top. Time will tell. Btw, hope Wayne Co. players have a great Thanksgiving with lots of turkey. Yummy yum. This is hog & ham country up here. Hehe
  12. Historical rivalry at its finest. When everything is on the line it just heats the pot even more. Two of best teams in the state. Tradition rich programs. Hard to pick one over the other, but this guy's gut says Pirates win in a back & forth barnburner. Hope no injuries happen at this level in East or West so all teams are at their max whoever gets to finals.
  13. Love this smack talk. Ha. I wonder if such stuff is allowed to be said between the players of the two teams on the field, or are the penalized nowadays? Wonder what best lines are players have heard said to them, or by thrmselves? Ha
  14. This Friday the world will see who the best team is (and probably even then most of the fans of the losing team, or dislikers of winners, wont give proper credit to the victors. It's just human nature). And I have a hunch the winning team will do so convincingly. My two cents? Gotta go with home team. Dresden dominates.
