I would expect this list to be drastically different in 3 weeks.

Fair. At least Northside will not look like a complete joke on the field. I went to the SGC v Northside game last year and I honestly felt sorry for the kids. It was pathetic.

When Lowe was at Bolivar he took a horrible program and turned them into a contender, quickly. He did not have major success but they were certainly miles ahead of where they were and where they are now. My only bone with Lowe is that he never seems to stay anywhere long... Wish the Indians the best. I was tickled to hear they hired him.

It is kind of sad to see all these names in this region and not 1 of them from Gibson county... I will be pulling for Covington. We shared a region with them for a long time and had a lot of great battles with them. I think the region will certainly come down to DBurg and Covington. However, hold your cards on the other Chargers in the region. They will be no push over.

This. UC is playing within the rules laid out by the T$$AA. If you have proof someone is cheating, stealing, or breaking the rules lay it out and let them handle it. Playing schools with similar enrollment is the fairest way to make the field of play equal.

I agree. However, I think it is fair to say that UC should not be playing Gleason. No knock on Gleason but they simply should not be playing them. I think the fairest way to handle this is would be to have a single A-1 and single A-2. We have the monster sized school in their own classification. Why not have one for the smallest. Just my thoughts.

Go east and visit Alcoa. You are fighting a losing battle. You could take the exact comments from this forum and replace the names of UC to Alcoa and no one would notice. If, I lived in Obion county and my kid was a football player and would certainly want him to go to the better program with better facilities and coaches. It just is what it is. I live in Gibson county and if I wanted my kid to go-to Milan I could take him over there and enroll him. However, I like SGC and chose to keep my kids in that school system.

This. Honestly, I did not understand it until I found out that most school systems have the exact same policy. Take a look at Crockett. I would bet 20% of the students there do not live in Crockett county.

You could look at Milan for an example. They are similar in town size to UC and Milan is 2A. Ask @BIGPURPLEMACHINE, he knows the enrollment ins and outs better than anyone else I know.

Well, if they had 4A students in the school they would be 4A. Remember they have to report enrollment numbers ever 2 years.

My man, I am no fan of UC. I saw them first hand a couple of times and I am just simply telling you they are really good. They have some DOODS up front. The offense is the opposite of sexy, but darn is it effective. I am not saying they are unbeatable and are a lock to win the state. However, I am telling you that you better pack a lunch because UC has a great team.

@BIGPURPLEMACHINE Also, I do not know anything about Munford... I do not put a lot of stock into scrimmages.

I think it is entirely too early to tell much. I have seen years where a team looks primed to win the state and 4 weeks into the season you find out they are not very good... I love seeing the T get going over some football!
