Sequatchie has enough coaching talent in the pool to bring someone back to lead the program. They need a graduate to be the next coach. Coaches in Georiga , Florida , and in the state etc... Just my opinion.

#1 target turned job down.. KS seems to be an option.. Not alot of coaches put in for the job.. Shocker I know.

Not sure Whitwell will get the coach they want. Would be a hard pull to go from 7A ball to 1A.

I agree they don't have the talent.. But Bassy you know losing to Grundy ( the way Grundy has been ) , Sale Creek and others the way have the have shouldn't happen IMO.. Last year they returned enough of that State championship talent to be above 500.. This year they have enough to be around 500.. Like I said its not JC fault.. I feel for everyone involved but mostly the kids.. They deserve better.

I hate Whitwell is in the mess they are in... It's going to take someone the community can get behind to turn things around.. I feel for JC... He walked into an ugly situation but he isnt the answer.. Best of luck to the Tigers tonight.

I agree... Whitwell is a mess.. Talent in FR and 8th grade coming up but looks like Seq and Marion will benefit from that.. Not sure anyone will touch that job now.

I heard the fighting Tigers already looking for a change at the HC position... SP by as many as they want.

BC pretty good this year. Wonder who will be next SC head Coach.. Couple of Former players doing ok in the coaching world.. Might deserve a shot.

44-6 now.. Going to be a long year for the fighting Tigers.. SP may put 80 plus on them

NJ-36 Whitwell -0 in 3rd

SQ slower than last year and not as physical in the past... Fighting Vics will be ready for this one.... Won't be close..

SP-49 SC-14 I'm giving SC 14 same reason I'm giving SP only 49 points... Will be some things to work out being first live action.. SP is loaded.. Everyone watch out for the Vic Revenge tour...

JP took job at summit, and is no longer a candidate. Another name has emerged. Lots of folks still want JC but looks like that isn't happening . CB still an option but no trigger has been pulled.

I think it should be held at Sequatchie Co with a rotating gate.

JC stepped down and was never fired. He was very involved the rest of the season and even coached in the state game that they won. JC coached at the 6A level in Florida last year. I'm sure the local guy will be fine if they go that route. However, hearing that has changed. Top candidate took another job, DC at Goodpasture. CB the lead candidate now.

I don't know why as well but what I was told Griffith supports the hiring if they go that direction. Coley didn't teach at Whitwell when he was there. From what I understand he runs a logistics company.

Source told me Griffith man never actually said that, just what the reporter put in her paper. Coley will be next HC. Like I stated before no matter who is getting that job next year will be tough. Talent coming up to be ok in 1A. No matter how down you are no Whitwell should never be losing to Copper Basin and Sale Creek. Coley will do fine at Whitwell. Expect him to bring some stability to the program. The kids and community are happy with the hire.

Hearing its still the person they had in mind. "Fake News", there is no criminal incident or record.

From my sources it doesn't matter of RR applies or not. He isnt a candidate due to his tendency to "move" around. Also if I'm RR and want to get back to valley Sequatchie will be open next year.

RR is not the next coach at Whitwell.

Hearing nothing has changed. Still name mentioned few weeks back.

Whoever gets the job next year it will be rough. Good Sophomore and Freshman classes to build on.
