I think Bledsoe has a better defense than Grundy so I'll take Bledsoe. Not an impressive offense from either team so I think the stronger defense will win the game. Bledsoe by 7.

This isn't even close to being game of the week and I'm a died in the wool Sequatchie fan. 1. SP V/S MC and I'll take MC in a close one however, it could go either way. 2. Whitwell V/S SM would be my second choice for game of the week. I'll take Whitwell by 14. 3. SC V/S Meigs. I'll pick Sequatchie by 17.

Tiger fan, Whitwell NEVER put in the the complete 2nd string. There's a difference. Whitwell did show a great offense and an even better defense but this topic is about Cannon.

I completely disagree with shutting down the Cannon football program. All they need is some community support and some staff changes. If you want to see an extremely weak program, watch Copper Basin. I watched them play Whitwell tonight and it was quite awful to watch. I believe I counted 17-18 players total. That's not enough to even scrimmage yourself !? The bad thing is....Whitwell NEVER at one time put in a complete 2nd string.

Cannon showed a great effort all night. I remember 2 years ago multiple players were down on the field with injuries and cramps. I recall just one player the entire night going down after an extra point kick. Other than that I was impressed with the drive and determination that Cannon displayed. They came out after half time ready to go again but just couldn't mount a drive worthy of a couple first downs. Sequatchie looked sharp and played a well coached game. I'm extremely happy that almost every single player got to hit the field last night. Caine was working on depth during the first half while the first string was on the field too. They'll need it against several teams in the regular season. Many battles are before us.

I think the Indians are coached well enough to go into this game being confident and not over confident. There should be lots of new jerseys on the field tonight considering Cannon doesn't surprise us all and have an out of the ordinary game. Sequatchie 49 Cannon 17

I want to see all of Sequatchie's dressed out players set foot on the field Thursday night. I hope it's possible because we need experienced depth. Good luck Cannon but I hope we win.

I dont predict Bledsoe to win this one but, It's to soon for me to count them out. I look at the progress that Sequatchie has made since the Soddy Scrimage to the Jamboree to the SP game and lastly the MC game. Honestly after the Soddy scrimage, I had an awful un easy feeling about the season. Obviously Coach Caine yanked some knots in some tails during the last two minutes of the Whitwell scrimage and I've saw a 180 out of the team ever since that exact moment. So I will delay judgement on the B Warriors till I see what the new coach has worked out of them fellers.

I'm not crowning them already I just feel like I've saw good football out of them. Also I do consider MC and SP a quality opponent.

Both teams played well that night and my hat is off to them. Nobody wants to lose but somebody will. I expect next year to be just as impressive given that it happens. It is amazing though to see several teams in the valley that will easily be a top 10 team in their class for the state of Tennessee. Lots of tallent here in the valley on the field and sideline.

As I recall, Whitwell played pretty well against Marion in the Jamboree. The difference was an over excited slightly inexperienced Tiger team on the field making rookie mistakes. Those mistakes were penalties dragging the ball back time after time in the closing minutes when the tigers were hammering the Marion defense. Now don't go getting all huffy Tiger fans because I said inexperienced. What I mean is the tigers have quality athletes on the field with plenty of playing time but not against a quality opponent and making a better than decent showing. Whitwell played as good or better than any team on the field that night. Kinda like that kook McGregor said about his opponent. COMPOSURE. You need that Whitwell and I hope you get it and demonstrate it.
