Yeah man, that game Friday was embarrassing! With over half the season over, I thought we would have it all figured out by now, but I'm still not sure where we stand! I'm still not ready to give up on our boys because the potential is there, but something has to be done, can't have another performance like that or we will lose the region and be one and done in the playoffs!

Man, did not expect the game to go like it did, matter of fact, I don't think anyone in Waverly did. In my opinion, I think we got caught overlooking Mcewen and not taking them seriously and they came out to play and we didn't. My hats off to y'all. No excuses here. Even without the officiating, we still just got beat plain and simple. Congratulations and back to the drawing board for us!

Although this guy is obviously full of it, I do have to admit, this thread is a lot more entertaining than the last few weeks. This guy is hilarious!

Really looking forward to this game! I think this will be a barn burner considering the history and lack of love between these teams. I'm sure Mcewen is going to try to come out and make a statement with this game. I just think Waverly will make a much louder statement! But we shall see, it is finally upon us!

Oh my goodness, thank you both. I'm so glad somebody else is saying it, but it's been driving me crazy trying to understand why #8 is not in the backfield! I understand that he's very quick and have great hands, so coaches want to put him at receiver, because McConnell did the same thing, but this kid is a phenomenal running back out of the backfield between the tackles! His 8th grade year, after the 3 headed monster left the jr. high, he was the premier back. I kid you not, he played every single down on everything including special teams and he averaged 300+ yards a game and took them all the way to the championship game that year. I've been wanting to say something, but I don't want to be that guy that's like give my boy the ball, because it's not about that. It's more about making our offense more potent and getting us to the semis, which I think we could do if we make a few adjustments, this being one of them. And if you think I'm exaggerating about the 300+ yards a game, talk to Mccloud and I guarantee he will confirm everything, matter of fact, that next year, he wouldn't even let anyone where the #10 because it was his number in jr. high. Not sure if he's still doing that, but that is how much respect he had for him! By the way Trollin, #10 is Brier Johnson. The kid is a ball player! Been trying to get him to play for years because he was also a big part of #8's jr. high success, but he didn't like playing for McConnell. If they can work him in more, he can have a major impact as well! Rant over, lol.

At the same time a little sadden by the fact that after tonight we will already be halfway through the regular season! Man, wait all winter and summer for it to get here and then boom, it gets here and it's almost over before you know it! Either way, looking forward to tonight, Scott's Hill always gives us a run for our money!

Oh man when it went up my heart sank into my stomach! It looked like it was going straight in and then at the very last second it curved. That would have been devastating had he made it though, and not just for the night, I think for the season. That would have taken all the wind out of our sails. To work that hard and play that good and to lose on the last play of the game. Oh man I don't even want to think about it anymore, lol. Definitely another classic though, to be honest, I'm getting to old for this. Got my heart rate going crazy like that. Really going to miss this next year!

I'm going Waverly. I think this win will give these boys the confidence they been lacking in the previous weeks. This was the first game I saw them actually play close to their potential. I think now they know what they can do and that they can play with the big boys. Still got tons of blocking fundamentals to work on, but I think they are starting to get their swag and finally starting to create their own identity and getting from under the shadows of the previous team! They definitely looked like the team I expected them to be in the beginning, just hope they can keep it going in the right direction! Definitely ready for this one after what I saw tonight!

I saw it unfortunately for you guys, it was a block in the back. If you watch film, it was the last guy we had that could have made the tackle, and one of your guys grabbed him by the jersey and shoulder pads and spun him completely around. That's how your back was able to break free. You are right though, there was A LOT of holding on both sides! I honestly believed the refs got tired of calling it after a while, lol. We have definitely got to get that cleaned up! Man I wished I would have known you guys were meeting up, I would have loved to have met you. You really are a class act and I always respect your opinion! By the way, I called it, lol. Great game tonight, and I wish y'all luck on the rest of your season!

See Vandy, I told you we just had to have a little faith and patience with our boys. Looks like the the boys and the coaches are finally gellin and getting it figured out. Glad to see a few more being utilized in the offense as well. We keep progressing like this, we may be able to make a little noise in November.
