unfortunately it's just human nature, there's always gotta be that ONE GUY/GIRL that has to ruin the fun for everyone by going around and saying "i'm suing you" or "this isn't fair to me" and so forth... but yeah if the person is so worried about the kid's education just for the day home school them, it's not like they didnt bring their books home and can't do some homework at home ON THEIR OWN.

I can see Celina winning this oddly enough, IF they come ready to play and are not struck in Awe of PC, if they play like the Team that Beat Pickett twice and beat JC & FCS they should stand a chance late to get a narrow win, i will say this, depending on who wins the C'land/M'ton game Celina could be thru to the finals... but as stated earlier DO NOT OVERLOOK PC if ya wanna make it to the end, can't believe i'm cheering on the enemy right now...

actually they CAN blind draw 2 teams from the same District/region(unless it's been changed reciently) into the same First Round matchup, I've seen it done before but it is rare, saw it with Hancock County vs Cosby 2-3 times in a row in the first round of the states before, just throwing that out there.

also as someone who lives right next to the school i can tell ya totally a false claim, he's staying at least for now, he may change his mind but i HIGHLY doubt he'll leave. also, posting topics in ALL Caps and the entire post being in Caps will take away credibility.

the ONLY problem if we go to 4 classes for Basketball... well ya know how spread out a lot of the DISTRICTS(not regions) will be... considering as stated a lot of these schools of 1500+ are intercity OR just outside the intercity area, yeah you're gonna have mainly clusters of these "4A" schools, then ya go to "3A" and ya have schools spread out in the larger cities(but not the BIG ones), then "2A" is the larger TOWNS and small cities, and "1A" is the rest of the schools... bleh, 1A would be spread out further than it already is... look at a lot of the districts in East and West TN and imagine districts that spread out all over the state for all classes(outside of the intercity districts).

yeah PC was only about 2 minutes and a few careless turnovers away from being in the Region title game for the first time since iirc 1990 and would have more than likely hosted a sectional game... but that's last year, hopefully we're just as good this year as we were last year, yeah i know replacing 3 very good girls(and 1 girl that just unfortunately got taken out in the middle of the season) is gonna be tough but who knows, last time we were counted out in this region, which was the last 2 years the girls have shocked everyone.

well lemme see here... and dont quote me on these numbers but those wondering, this year we have if i counted correctly in Division I-1A 82 teams(40 in A and 42 in AA) and of those 24 from each made the playoffs, so in one division or the other you're almost GUARENTEED due to the mandatory scheduals of most regions to have at least 1 5-5 make it in, in the case of the westernmost region in 1A you have only 3 teams and they schedual up outside of their 2 region games schedual... now under the OLD 5 Class system i think we had it broke down to somewhere around 70 teams per classification with 32 teams getting to the playoffs per class(4 per region) again you're guarenteed somehow to have a 5 win or less team in the playoffs but as someone else already said at least this way Playoff pairings are KNOWN rather than having to do a whole selection saturday thing like they do now... now if ya go back to this old system, i know people are gonna complain that well the regions are too far spread out and no one's gonna be able to fill out their schedual... how about just play the dam game, heck i know of schools that are willing to go within reasonable distances to play a game and if a little deal sweetener is thrown in they may go further so those complaining about the regions being TOO spread out and no scheduals can be filled, SHUT UP or PLAY UP.
