  1. One HECK of a game. Incredible pitching performance by Breeden. Glad to see that response after losing to the same team 16-0 just the day before.
  2. He is. He actually played some against Gordonsville. His mother said he will be a DH for the game at 5.
  3. I'm glad we were able to put that tough loss to Union City behind us and take care of business this morning. We're too good of a team to not win at least one of these games. Looking forward to the next one at 5!
  4. Just curious. What is everyone's prediction for the state championship game? I'm thinking Loretto goes back-to-back after winning a close game against Columbia Academy. Maybe 5-2?
  5. I agree. We have played 3 of the 8 teams in the tournament, and we won 2 of those 3 games. I think strength of schedule will help us out, but I'm not sure this is our year. If we beat Union City, I could see us going to the ship, but I know that's going to be a very tough game to win. I really like how things are shaping up for next year though! We have literally everyone returning. Good luck to all 8 teams. Should be fun to see how things turn out.
  6. There was no negative connotation meant by that. Just confirming your statement and providing a bit more detail.
  7. Trash talk is fine to a certain point, but you can’t start bashing the kids. They worked all year to get to this point. We were just the better team. We have to represent our community better than that. I promise we are not all like that lol.
  8. No one is being a “richard.” We are just giving our honest opinions. If you look at the scores of our games with oliver Springs and Midway, and you compare them to this game, they are very similar.
  9. Not sure where this is coming from. For the past two years we have been young, and the opposing team dominated us. I don’t think any Greenback fan will fight that. This year we finally get to be on the other side of a lopsided score.
  10. I didn’t want to say that, but I would have to agree with that as well. The East may have had the edge in regards to strength of competition this year.
  11. No offense whatsoever to Cornersville, but I believe both SP and Coalfield would have beaten Cornersville had they had the opportunity to do so.
  12. I’ve know him since he was 7. Coached him in baseball for years. He’s just an incredible athlete. We’re lucky to have him!
