Forreal, doesn’t make any sense. If I was Betsy, Boone would be paying me a pretty large fee to get out of that game. Idk what Greeneville is going to do. Hate it for their seniors

A guy on Twitter said that Mo West and Boone would be making their game up on Thursday so West would not be playing Greeneville. Any truth to that?

Last week I woulda said a blowout by WG. However, Eagleton looked a lot better against Oneida so I think this game will be closer than what some may think. They could possibly get a W if West Greene plays like they did against Chuckey Doak.

Last year CD took SG to the wood shed and gave them a good ole whipping. CD fans, who’s your key players? SG fans, who’s your key players? Interested to see how this turn outs. I think I have a pretty good idea, but gonna hold my thoughts for now.  

CD - best players are number 13,7&4 . They are very good and can score at any time on offense or defense. They are big up front and pretty physical.

SG- their rb is pretty explosive and they have a good OL. Big athletic receiver on the outside that can cause matchup problems.

both teams are very well coached and should be a really good game. If sg can slow down 13 for CD then they should be able to win and I feel like they have a slight edge.

They have three of the best players in East TN (4,13,&7). Unfortunately Pittman is in their conference now but they should be able to compete for 2nd.

They are solid. Don’t have the outstanding individual players like last couple years but have a good group of older guys that play hard. I don’t think they are as good as When the Myers’ played but still a good football team.

Hancock is beyond horrible. Cloudland should easily get back on track this week.

They lost 6 seniors from last year and majority of them were big contributors. They have 8 seniors this year. They’re not bad but nothing special. Their score with NG is misleading, the game was much closer. NG held them to 100 yards of offense through three quarters but turned the ball over twice on their own 10 with one being a pick six. Their skill guys are their strong suit. I think the Landers should be in the ball game and could pull out a win.

Rodgerdodger,  you could be right, but it makes no sense. Both of those games will be standing room only, whether it’s on tv or not. Also, if Greeneville was doing this only because of the gate, why would they agree to be the game of the week on WCYB for the same game? I know that they’ve allowed WCYB to broadcast the home Elizabethton game  before. 

No clue, that’s just what I heard around Greeneville. Figured they’d use nfhs because they give some money to the school based on subscriptions. I’m sure some elderly folk and parents with kids would love to be able to catch all their games. 

They want people to come spend money at the gate. Been like that as long as streaming was a thing. 

From seeing both teams this summer, Mo West should handle East but you never know in a rivalry game.

Good point. For a small school they sure do have quality coaches in just about every sport. If they don’t challenge this year then they definitely should next year with only 3 seniors. 

CD 42-13 is my prediction.

Normally, I would pick WG in this game. However, I am leaning NG in this. I like what I've seen from Coach Tilson, and the Huskies seem to have more confidence than they had in a long time.  A win would go a long way in helping to build even more confidence.

Should be competitive. NG is still relatively young with 4 sophomores and a junior up front and several young skills kids. Talent is there so should be a good game

SG also scored twice against NG’s 2&3’s. WG played their starters the whole quarter and couldn’t score against a bad Unaka team.

Not sure if it will be this week but I definitely think they find a win somewhere this year. 

PF lost their best rb last year (35). Hampton has some really good skill guys and some young, huge linemen. PF typically runs a wing-t type of offense so should be a physical game on the ground both ways. I think Hampton at home is making me lean their way.
