This should be a great year for 4A football. The new team's that have came in to the division really gives it some much needed depth. It's of course to early to know very Much. But I do believe the devil's have a good chance if they stay healthy. But elizabethton and Anderson county are also good Enough. But at least before the season starts the one in the east that concerns me the most is south Doyle I might be wrong but I believe they are going to be really good. And the west is much better this year as well I don't look for a blow out in the championship game this year no matter who play's in it. The new team's Plus a couple of the usual one's can play. Pre season I like Milan in the west but it's all just guessing right Now. Good luck to everyone.

Wow is about all you can say . Greeneville put on a Show tonight right from the start. All 4 wide receivers had a touchdown plus Gudger with one maybe 2. If I counted right starter's vs starter's was 42 - 0 Greeneville. Defense looked Great flying to the Ball and gang tackling and had a interception. The back ups for both team's got a lot of good work in as well and it was pretty even. With a slight edge to west ridge I believe tonight with the younger kid's. Best thing I didn't see any injuries to either team so that's Always the most important thing about these scrimmages. But make no mistake Greeneville completely dominated this they looked really good Better than I thought they would tonight

BVD is supposed to be transferred to Knoxville Today. Where they can take Better care of Him

Last thing I seen on BVD is he is waiting for a room to open in Johnson city or Knoxville so they can transfer him to one of those hospital's he needs all our prayers and well wishes. And prayer's for his Family as well

Devil's looked good tonight in the scrimmage with Daniel Boone was very impressed. Main thing is to know how many rep's to play the starter's. A lot of these kid's they all ready know what they have in them so hopefully keep them fresh for the season. There was one injury tonight. Hopefully not serious but not sure. I don't want to discuss player injuries so I'm not going to say anymore about that. I know Greeneville didn't play Gudger at all or I don't remember seeing him out there. And I agree with that decision. they all ready know what they have in him. The backups looked ready. And the passing game looked Great. Jakobi made one of the best one handed catches I have ever seen in person. And Jaden caught a Deep Ball. And everyone got involved. Got to play a lot of the younger player's tonight and get them in Early. So overall good scrimmage I believe for both school's. Thanks to Daniel Boone for being a scrimmage partner.

And I will say this about the Central Game. They will know how to play defense. I watched their head coach play at Greeneville High his Whole career. He was a outstanding player and he is proving to be one Heck of a Coach. I expect nothing Short of a all out war against central. Greeneville really had a fun and competitive schedule this Year. I can see a lot of challenging game's. Between central, elizabethton, and my goodness oak ridge has anyone watched that full grown man that runs the ball for them mercy. Plus DB, both Morristown school's. Just a great schedule. My hat's off to the coaches for giving the kid's and the fans a great schedule

There is no way of knowing what's going to happen this season with it still July. But it is fun to talk about. Especially right now when the sports world kinda slows down. Not knowing anything about injuries or how good the kid's are that well be new starter's. There is just know way. I think there is positions that elizabethton is better and position's that Greeneville is Better . What's important for the devil's right now is figuring out who should be starting at some positions that are really close. And figuring out how to make sure you get your best player's on the field. The competition in fall camp is no joke there are player battle's everywhere. I Love the depth they have at most spots. But I do worry about the depth up front. And there is a battle at QB as well. With the depth in the backfield and at wide receiver. Greeneville"s success on offense comes down to oline and QB play . If they get good QB play they are going to be a hard out in the playoffs. I have the utmost respect for Elizabethton. And they have won the last two. With a lot if players back. Not as much as Greeneville but still enough coming back to win. I think it's going to be a great Game that could come down to who makes the least mistakes

Yes Greeneville is blessed with the most depth I have ever seen at WR and RB they are very fast and very talented

Blazer I believe it starts from within. They need to get coaches through out pee wee all the way to middle school pulling in the same direction. Plus I know a lot of kid's get trained growing up by a personal trainer. With stuff like speed and agility training. A lot of the problems I have seen with Boone over the year's is not enough athlete's on the outside and not enough speed. Beside the agility training I don't really know a fix for this problem. As far as the tuff schedule preparing for the playoffs. I think it can help if you are on the same level athletically as your playoff opponents. I think it helps you mentally knowing you have played team's as good as the one's you see in the playoffs. But if you don't have the same speed or athleticism as the playoff team's then I don't believe a tuff schedule helps at All. Because at the end of the Day you have to be able to line up against them and compete

The oak ridge game is October 8th between seymour and sullivan East

3 of the 5 school's you mentioned are in our conference. You know very well we have no control over that. And that we have to play those games. The game's we could control was the non conference part of the schedule. I believe Kingsport Dobyns Bennett, oak ridge and Knox Central all 5a and 6a team's and the two 5 a team's are state championship contenders is a Very tuff schedule and the two morristown teams is old traditional rivals that we have played for ever. We actually have a losing record against morristown west in our History with them. So in saying that. I would say oak ridge Kingsport Dobyns Bennett Knox Central , morristown west And morristown East is a Very strong schedule that's the part of the schedule we could control. Name me a 4a team in east tennessee with a tuffer non conference I would love to see it

Looks like coach Spradlin put together a tremendously tuff schedule for 2021,2022. It has been finalized 5 conference game's 5 non conference game's. 6 at home 4 on the road. At Knox Central Home Grainger At Elizabethton Home morristown west Home Volunteer Home Kingsport Dobyns Bennett At Seymour Home Oak Ridge Home sullivan East At Morristown East Looks like a very demanding schedule that should prepare them for the playoffs. I think next year Will be fun. Way to early to say one team has a advantage over the other. There is position's I like better on Greeneville and spots that I would give the edge to the Cyclones. A lot of work to do for both team's between now and then. And to many variables. Like transfers, injuries things like that. But I do believe right now on paper it is extremely close. And should be a great game. From what I am hearing South Doyle will be pretty good in region 2

Congratulations Alcoa. You Guy's had A Great Football Team this Year. I really think the way the emphasis is put on Defense First really separates Alcoa from most everyone Else. The coaching staff seems to concentrate on Defense . I'm not sure I have ever seen Alcoa play that they were not good on defense . Congrats to Milan as well I seen some very good athlete's on the field today for milan and if #1 and #9 orcoming back next year they will have a shot in 4 A. It will be much more competitive in 4A with the 4 or 5 knoxville school's coming in to district 2 and Pearl cohn and milan out West. Should be lots of fun

Dude you do know Greeneville was beating Elizabethton in the 4th quarter right ? Lost by a missed extra point and a field goal. 24-20 I hardly think a team that Elizabethton scored on 8 out of 8 time's was their tuffest Challenge LOL

The one kid from Florida is the only player that didn't play in First game plus we didn't have starting QB either game or lezzi tonight. The new kid played defense only as far as I could tell he was #22 he helped the defense solid player
