Is there a COVID scare at Central? Heard that last night at Cracker Barrel- by the way have you tried their Pumpkin coffee? It’s like October in a cup.

Maybe got it right this time. Watched this program for years. Doesn’t matter who the coach worked for as a graduate assistant. What’s his pedigree as high school coach? Does a coach inspire community, players and administration or not. Does administration want success or just a team? Does community want a winner or do they even show up? “If you build it they will come”. You’ve got to believe in your product, sale your product and continue to improve your product. In this area- Meigs County is doing this and NOBODY ELSE.

I think we owe it to every red blooded American to put teams on the field and decisions of spectators left up to them. Thank the Lord Above our forefathers aren’t as soft as we are or we would be under English rule or after Pearl Harbor would be making Nike’s. On the other hand I do like a little squid sushi.

I think this is the saddest day in the history of high school sports and education as a whole. This site is about Tennessee football but...if we continue to allow ppl to take things away (no matter the reason) we will be left with only what we are allowed.

Totally agree but— a team that just keeps getting to quarterfinals becomes a team stuck in quarterfinals. This could be breakout year OR fallback.

1. Peabody 2. Meigs 3. Trousdale 4. Watertown 5. Somebody west of the river 6. Rockwood/ Oneida 7. Tyner/ Marion 8. Nobody else relevant ?? Prove me wrong until someone proves otherwise this is how I see it. Watertown may be most talented but haven’t proven can win in crunch time. Trousdale and Meigs have played back to back classic semifinal games.

Honestly I’ve not had opportunity to watch them that much..10-12 games but they have looked leg tired at times. That affects shooting plus they do not look confident to take semi-open shots. Shooters gotta shoot to open up post and drive lanes. Opening round good game to rest for the run! I’m off the road and in the seat. Let’s Go Lady Tigers!

Meigs is District Champ! Game was closer than I thought it would be but several questionable calls kept them in it. As for the boys I stayed to the bitter end.

Players who come home to visit team and coaches because they love them and had a great experience. Meigs Softball is that program!

Big win for Meigs girls last night over Knox Catholic.

2014 6-5, 2015 4-6, 2016 10-2, 2017 12-1, 2018 13-1, 2019 13-2. There are pieces that have been moved around to get to this point but there were 6 or 7 of these seniors who had started since they were Sophs. It’s not about replacing them it’s about filling their shoes. Coaching now has to step up and develop young Tigers. In abiut 5 months the 2020 Tigers will hit the field for spring practice and it’ll once again be time to HIT SOMEBODY

I’m done after this... Dickson phenomenal player...Peabody outstanding team who is best team in AA. Swafford every play of Offense, Defense, Extra Point, Kickoff and punt return. No pictures of Bogues sliding to avoid Swafford, no picture of Dickson flailing as Swafford scores. Nope because Meigs has class. As for had he ever been ran over- yep ask kid at Oneida when Swafford was a freshman, Marion County, Forrest, Rockwood, Trousdale, and I’m sure others. Difference is HE never left the field. I think I’m right but I’ll make sure he started every one of the 48 wins and the 6 losses and to my recollection never missed more than couple of plays against Rockwood as a sophomore.

I am hoping we take a Pep bus Saturday. If the school will I’ll pledge $100. Talked to several kids who wanted to go but couldn’t get there. This is first time in 24 years— let’s go Meigs. Everyone tell administrators to get those kids there. It’s their memories to make also. Any churches have vans? Get your ppl there!!

I am going to make major contribution to the team so they can buy some turf shoes. I’ve been trying to reach the HC. Does spot bilt still have a good turf shoe?

Peabody will probably destroy us... we have known that all season. We don’t deserve to be on the field. You guys have a D1 RB/LB, Mr Football and the best defense. Our team is going to line up Saturday and ask mighty Peabody for autographs. Our QB will be 1st in line followed by our weak Defense then our slow receivers.
