Hey just reading the room. It says the problems at HVA didn't start in the last 6 months. I don't know him but the school board does. I get my info from Chanel 8.
He had a 100-48 record. That's probably 3 years or more. Don't keep up with baseball. More than likely Speas hired him. A lot of people trying to prop up Speas. A lot of coaches get out when the principal that hired them is no longer the principal.
I have heard a bunch of names mentioned on the T but that is all the names being considered? I have heard Stanton Stevens , Scott Cummings, Brad Taylor and Lee Warren applied for the job from reading this thread. There has to be more people applied?
They had to try a Ex Fulton player. That's what they think was why they won in the past. They think Ex Fulton will win in the future. Only time will tell.
The guy that coached rec league and worked for the sheriff's office was one of the O-line coaches. A former Central player who also used to be an assistant at HVA and DC at Cocke Co was another O-line coach. A former BHS player was another O-line coach. The former DC from Cocke Co. left after one year. I heard he went to Fulton. I heard the former rec coach/sheriff office guy quit sometime this year. I don't know if the former BHS player is still coaching at BHS.
I remember Livingston Academy that year. LA had a player at QB that also played Safety. I thought he was the difference in the championship game vs Lipscomb. I think Livingston ran the option and there QB made a lot of good reads to make their offense go. He also was a very physical player on defense. If you didn't get him blocked, he was going to hit you. You really don't see that combination much anymore. An option QB who played both ways.
What do you mean the Bearden Hill area. West zone goes way past that. You can actually drive past BHS on the way to West if you live/zoned in part of the West zone. A lot of not most West zone students live closer to BHS
