  1. So Reado left because Smith left? That seems like Smith just pulled the rug out from under him and left Reado hanging. Why didn't Reado just stay on and coach O-Line. I am sure he could have done a great job. He has been successful before at CAK and Grace Christian of Knoxville. Is private Christian School coaching that much different than coaching public school, and it also being BHS at that?
  2. Why would he be a DC. I thought he was a OC/QB coach?
  3. Are you talking about Coach Slover?
  4. Barn l hope you are doing as good as you can right now during a tough situation. Pertaining your question in your second sentence, you are about 5 months behind. Triggers have already been pulled. People will figure it out soon enough.
  5. Not talking about now. You had to be around HS football in Knoxville back in the early 2000s to understand.
  6. There is some bad JuJu for the Smiths at Powell.
  7. l don't think you can claim the Jones boys are part of a BHS pipeline. Dad played at BHS and you all have always said the boys were not doubt, always were, and totally Maryville kids. I really don't know if the Smith boy is a Bearden kid. I think he is the next best thing up kid. Dad has shopped him around to multiple schools since he started. Catholic used to be the best thing, then it was BHS, and now Maryville is the next best thing. Who knows what is next. Have you ever listened or talked to the dad, he is all over the place. But kind of figured BHS Coach Jones and his style of coaching and the way dad talks on the radio and to groups that they were going in two totally different directions. l really don"t think the dad knew what he was getting into when he sent his son to play for Coach Jones and the rest of that coaching staff.
  8. You never said anything about pricing untill HTV chimed in. You just proved my point. You said Concord had an advantage over Webb because of 7th graders. Webb is all one campus also. So how are they different. If Concord ever gets a varsity team again they will be in Division 2. Webb is division 2. They might not be in the same class, but they play be the same rules as all other Division 2 teams. Webb has 6th and 7th graders playing football also. So tell me Mr I just make up stuff, what is the advantage. Price of school doesn't matter when you have to line it up and play real football on a Friday night and Concord has a long way to go.
  9. Webb would mercy Concord with their JV. So you just say what you are pretty sure about with out thinking or reading TSSAA rules, then if your wrong you just say oh didn't know or your just not like you. No way l could be like you. I knew what ever generation you were won't make it when S&it hits the fan. Not grumpy but enlightened to people like you that say stuff that's totally inept and still stick to it when the rules prove you wrong. TSSAA Handbook By Laws, Article 2 section 8. I never said 8 graders weren't eligible, only 7th. If Concord is not going to play a TSSAA sanctioned schedule, then it's all just rec football anyway.
  10. Price of admission was not what DFL was talking about when he said Concord was different than any other private school in the area. DFL claims that "he is pretty sure" Concord is the only private school in the area that can let 7th and 8th graders practice and play with the varsity football team. I am pretty sure 100% that DFL doesn't know what he is talking about because he has not read the rules. Only 8th graders are eligible to play varsity and they have to be on the same campus that the high school is. For example, Webb School of Knoxville and Greenback school are examples where 8th graders are eligible. 7th graders are not eligible.
  11. You are pretty sure about a lot of stuff aren't you. Pretty sure doesn't count in TSSAA eligibility rules. I bet you haven't even read the rules. Read the rules and then tell me if you are 100% positive 7th graders can practice and play with a varsity football team in the state of Tennessee. Here is another clue. Webb School of Knoxville has an upper school and lower school. No separate middle school. Webb School of Knoxville has had several 8th graders practice and play with the varsity football team. Do you even know how an 8th grader is eligible to play varsity sports. But go ahead and just be pretty sure about stuff.
  12. Jarvis Reado has coached O-Line at CAK when Rusty Bradley was the HC. I think the connection was with Mark Bradley who coached Reado at UT.
  13. Tell us DFL how Concord, (not Concorde) is different than let's say Webb School of Knoxville. Plus Concord might have room to build athletic fields, but they will have an uphill battle with their neighbors not want lights shining in their windows.
  14. That's surprising about the numbers of the two football camps. I knew Central was going to have one. Didn't know Concord was having one. Key to those camps is who are you attracting. A kid that can help you in a few years or just some kids going to a camp that wants to try football. It will be interesting to see how both programs grow with new coaches.
  15. Concord is years away from being a treat of getting players that hurt other teams. No football field/stadium. No locker room or weight room. They tried private school A class football and got destroyed. Troy Fleming was not ready for that kind of competition. Division 2 A football is very competitive. It has gotten much better since splitting from the publics. I know they will get some players but there is always the chance that Concord fails at football again. I hope they succeed but that are years away from even getting and playing a schedule and winning some games. Why would you send your son there to get your brains beat out like when Troy Fleming was the coach. I know there are talks of big money coming into the program but stability and getting winning some games are more important .
  16. That is correct. My cousin coached at Rule with Bob Polston, Joel Helton, Don Ward, and Swaggerty (l think, don't remember his first name). My cousin told me that if all of the football players zoned for Rule stayed in zone Fulton would have a hard time fielding the competitive football teams they had. l don't think Rule hurt AE. Rule used to be AA back in the day. AE used to be AAA with Central and Fulton. I would think Fulton hurt AE the most, followed by Central later on and maybe Holston before it closed.
  17. Well if you are saying high school coaches have to play college football, then most high school coaches would not exist.
  18. Depends on who has money. West has plenty of money, especially after the School Board moved the zone south towards the river and west towards Pellissippi Pkwy.
  19. Mike Leach played High School Football at Cody High School in Cody, Wyoming.
  20. Boosters clubs can pay coaches.
  21. Sorry buddy, l don't watch your or Alcoa videos.
  22. It is just to easy to get your attention with out even trying, O Great Defender Of Alcoa Football. Surely they are paying you per post. I can't believe you can spend so much energy on just a simple comment that really means nothing to the World of Alcoa. You are like and old mangy dog changed up to the front porch that has to chase every car that comes by even though it will never catch them. But you do what you do and keep on feeling good about it. Just want the best for you and are the ultimate Alcoa apologist.
  23. How Alcoa operates as a football team has never been trivial.
