good point .............i think two of three for the sectional would be a good thing though as well as double elim for the region

aren't there 8 regions?..........i just think if you win your region in a double elimination tournament you deserve to go to the state tourney ............i have spent the whole week watching a four team tournament at Oakland...........the winner will play the winner of another four team tournament tomorrow night for the championship..........i don't think it's a bad thing to have 8 teams in the state playoffs................i do think the one game playoffs for the region and substate are the wrong way to determine the teams...........regional tourneys should be double elimnation and if you must have a sub state round it should be best of three..........one stud pitcher should not be able to carry a team to the state where you have to have a good staff to win.......just my opinion and i am just a dad who loves the game!..........did make it to mtsu to see the first bartlett/frankin game yesterday,,, you guys look tough!...........should be a great game friday night

freshman for farragut dealt tonight, very impressive...........they have pitched very well all week and the defense has been very solid

farragut has played very good baseball this week...........solid defense and really tough pitching..............they broke out the bats tonight............should be a great game

i like a four team regional double elimination tournament with the winner going to the state.........

pitching in that bracket has been great.............only games i have missed have been collierville's two games................i went to mtsu for the first game yesterday because i thought it would be the better game (i missed that one).......farragut is very capable of winning, they are a solid well coached team.......if you win the first one anything can happen in the nightcap

in aaa it looks like the west this year

collierville and bartlett are both pretty strong...............imho they will be playing each other friday night

bartlett put up an 8 spot in the bottom of the first................could be an all west tennessee final

second game at oakland tonight ..........they play the loser of collierville and farragut who play at 4.............

great ballgame............runners on 1st and 3rd two outs in the 6th for Ravenwood 1-2 count on the batter and the runner on 1st starts to second before the pitch Burke steps off lets the runner go to 2nd.....runner on 3rd is too far off the bag and Burke attempts to pick him and throws the ball away............Ooltewah had chances to score but Kole was up to the task big time..........in the 7th a two out two strike screamer past 3rd drove in the second run

great baseball game.............no hits by either team until the 5th.............a two out error on a flyball between the shortstop and left fielder allowed farragut to plate the first run...............

going to try i am off the next several days/ jr and i will probably make the ravenwood-farragut game tomorrow

what an ignorant statement..............you obviously don't get out much...........7aaa is a very tough district probably the best in middle tn this year.........for that matter region 4 top to bottom is probably the toughest in middle tn

did anyone see the thread a couple weeks ago on teaching submarine style pitching to a 9 yr old..............it was total satire but there were a lot of people who jumped in and gave their serious opinions and advice..........most of us who love the game take is serious but what i love the most about baseball is the class and dignity it can allow players to learn and guess who they learn from??????????

not only are they "gritty and scrappy" they are a good team.......7aaa is a pretty tough district.........7 of the 8 teams can beat you on any given night no matter who you are........they beat a very good shelbyville team to get to this game........i wouldn't say ooltewah "should win easily".........i would say they are favored mainly because of Burke..............i know he is not all ooltewah has and mean no disrespect to any of their other fine players but he is obviously very special..........as Grad said two very good teams playing friday night........wish i could be there to watch

lol wait 'til next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does anyone have a complete list of the all district team for 8aaa.........i still haven't seen the complete list....... ctown i think you guys will be competitive as always......lawrence county was very young this year and will be a better club........we(coffee county) will be as good as our pitching is, lots of potential but will potential become productive..........franklin county shelbyville and lincoln county lose some very good seniors key will be do they have enough to replace them.....tullahoma loses both district pitchers and a couple more seniors as well key for them i think will be pitching

obviously ooltewah is pretty tough...............blackman can pull off the upset though if they play good defense and pitch.............pretty decent place to play.....the hamburgers were hand pattied when we were there in the Trojan Classic!!

Shelbyville has a good club and they can hit so can Blackman dont get me wrong but if brothers pitches then i say tony allen and zack riddle will lead the shelbyville offense past the blaze 5-3
