Yes, we called off the dogs in the 3rd they left their starters in and did an onside kick. Their coach didn’t want to make sure everyone played so we showed them not to mess with us. One of their players broke his collarbone after our starters had a nice rest.

I am so proud of our Tigers! I knew they were mentally there. I live with a boy that was never scared of the Pirates and neither were his teammates. This is a completely different team than last year with great leadership. I was quite amazed that so many Pirate fans left so early. The majority of us Whitwell fans if not all stayed last year in the playoff game.

I would say for the Pirates. He’s wearing orange pants!

I have family coming from 2 different states. It’s going to be crazy!

Like I said it’s an embarrassment or the same old. One or the other.

I know our boys aren’t scared or nervous. This same group of kids have been beating them since 7 years old, now add Wingo. When they were in Middle School the final score was 30-6 and Whitwell went to play in the Championship game against Grundy (Wingo). If Whitwell loses, it’s the same old Whitwell. If S Pitt loses it’s an embarrassment. I would say it’s more mental for the Pirates!

We played both teams. I will take Polk just by the way they played us. Good ball team.

No more bleachers. We will have 4 concession stands open. Be prepared to stand. We have a lot of seating on the visitors side.

Thank y’all for having us, it was a great game! Much better than the last time we were there. To be honest I was hesitant to even go because we were treated so poorly the last time we were there. I enjoyed the crickbank!

At least show Whitwell a little respect by spelling Coach Boldin’s name correctly.

Coach Boldin first coached the defense before becoming head coach at WHS. Our boys are intelligent enough to remember what has been taught to them. We have quite a few of football smart boys and coaches. No worry from this Tiger Fan!! Haters will always Hate.

I like this. I don’t know about anyone else but there was 100 points scored in a game this week. It showed me there wasn’t much of a defense in that game.

There is a big difference. These boys this year don’t let anyone get in their head. They are focused and all have the same goal. Physically there may not be much of a difference but mentally it’s huge!

I was going to say they are physical especially with fists. Their coach can throw a few too!

After they charged the media $8 to park at the Jamboree saying the coaches agreed to that, when they didn’t agree to that maybe they are boycotting Marion County. Just my thought!

I don’t bet against my own team. Your comment made me laugh because no one believes in the red headed stepchildren of the County. I believe and am glad to see someone else recognizing the talent and heart these boys have. The first game of the season, we shall see but I know the focus and determination these boys have.
