Thoughts on the new boys basketball coach at CCHS? His record looks below average, but I'm glad they went out of the county for a hire. A lot of successful coaches across town have been from out town so maybe that will get us on track.

Don't think Stone has answers for the QB. Heard he is lightening fast. It might be a good idea for stone to try and slow it down and not get in a shootout, but thats not what they do. not sure it's too close... White 34 - Stone 24

personally I think the biggest difference in the schools is the mentality of schools. Stone has never been shy to hire coaches from out of town and bring in new ideas. I think they only have one or two coaches in all the sports that are from Crossville. The rest bring ideas and winning culture of other places. Cumberland seems to really only hire local coaches other than football. And even in football, they hire a HC from out of town and then dont let him bring more than one or two guys with him. I don't think one school is more rich than the other. We have just as many doctors, lawyers, dentists and community support at CCHS as they do across town, but the leadership at CC has never let us grow or change. They just like to do things the way they always have and the parents seem to complain and whine here more instead of figuring out ways to raise money and get nicer things.

Man I was wrong on that… really thought the jets were better / more improved. good to see the kids on the field not being chippy like they used to be. rap is a good dude and coach. Definitely could use help, but the culture at CC will always be a problem.

I keep hoping this will be the Jets year. Not sure the last time I saw them beat Stone, if ever. Any chance they hang with the panthers? Jets defense is much improved and Panthers have been letting all opponents move the ball on them... closer than the experts think?

Can stone get it done again? Didn’t see them pitching a shut out coming. Might be tough if the start Qb is out, but hearing the backup did just fine… might be an upgrade?? Red bank is always loaded with talent

A win is a win… have to schedule wins with you have a losing culture like CC has. That win should help them win 2-4 more games. Any chance they finally beat Stone? Heard stone looked rough at times.

Heard the MS coach is the front runner… hard to see them passing up a local guy with experience. His resume not too strong, but would be a good fit for CC.

Called this months ago! Coach was miserable here... no support from his bosses. Can’t say I blame him.

Serious question: I know these boards are not meant for intelligent conversation and non-bias conversation, but if you are a jets fan, how do you continue to support that? Where is the hope?? Lol I feel like I was lied to by my Jet sources. I knew stone was bad, but jets made them look like world beaters. Jets might be the worst team I’ve ever seen... hate that for their new coach. I hope he sticks it out.

Just talked to local source... he’s setting the line at jets -9.5.... Parsons training in Knoxville will be the difference maker from what I’m told. Hoping Stone can pull the upset though.

I just heard from a staff member over there that he wasn’t happy. Heard that he was sold a bill of goods and is looking to move on cause he isn’t supported. Still think jets win. Parson trains with D-1 athletes in Knox. He’ll carry them. No idea about Street.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I saw savage play 4 times and thought she actually slowed their offense down. Ball movement was better with her on the bench. Again, I know it’s a limited sample. I think CHS might win district next year... lots of good shooters.
