  1. Storyline for this week: Lewis County comes into round two for the sixth time in ten years. They have not made it past the second round in that decade. Lewis County boasts an 8-3 record for the year, including playoffs. Including playoffs, They have faced five teams with winning records and only beat two of them. The three losses were by a combined 52 points. Forrest comes into Friday's matchup also boasting an 8-3 record, including playoffs. Including the playoffs, they have faced four teams with winning records and are 2-2 in those match ups. For their three losses, they lost by a combined 41 points however, two of those games were against power houses Marion County and Cornersville and the Cornersville loss was only by 10 points. Forrest has been past the second round twice in the last decade. I give the edge to Forrest but am sure hoping the Hohenwald bunch doesn't cave in like the always do in the playoffs.
  2. I have to be honest, when all that went down with McCurry, I thought that program would be in a closet for at least a decade. They have had a lot of outside "interference" that would almost decimate any program. It's good that he's young and hungry because I really do not know if an older coach could weather the politics there! I can attests to that! Sometimes a three or four loss team is actually better than many one or no loss teams! I know we beat them soundly during the season but this game has me worried. I think they are much stronger now and much better than they were several weeks ago. I am hoping not but am thinking this might be a slip up game for us! I am just glad we did not have to facet them in round one!
  3. Here is some hope, I just looked back at Riverside's history. Two years ago they ended the regular season with a 5-6 record and two regular season losses at the end. Then, they preceded to beat Hohenwald in the first round (no surprise there) and go on to make it to round four. That very well could happen tonight with Chapel Hill. If they are as bad as some on here think and that region was extremely weak, they Hohenwald could slip past them and catch Riverside next week. So, basically, who ever winds up tonight has to look forward to getting hammered by Riverside next week and, I do not think either team can beat them. So, who wants to drag the season out the least? That will determine Friday's loser rather than winner.
  4. People are finally catching on! Lewis hasn’t since ‘13 and only once since ‘03. Annndddd this is with (7) SEVEN ten (10) ten win seasons in the last (17) SEVENTEEN years! This means two things: 1) It’s a safe bet they wont beat Chapel Hill Friday. 2) They have weak schedules year in and year out! What this translates into is: #paperchampios
  5. They say it’s difficult to beat a good team twice. Nolensville is not as bad as their record says. I think we come out on top again but I think it will be much closer this time around!
  6. Hohenwald has made it to the playoffs more than the last eight years straight. Five of those years they made it to round two. This includes two 9-1 and one 10-0 regular season records. Can anyone guess how many times, including these 9-1 and 10-0 regular season records, they have made it past round two?
  7. Great post BPM and I totally agree! Consistent playoff contenders and typically make it to the second round 50% of the time!
  8. Well, onto the second round to take on the Rockets from Chapel Hill. They won against a team with a winning record for only the second time this season to do so. Now the question is, can the make it to round three?
  9. I’m eating crow tonight. 8-4 now! Crow Crow. Gonna be 8-4. General, you called this one!
  10. General, second round playoffs. We know what that ALWAYS means for LC. Go ahead and scout for Riverside.
  11. 22-12 the good guys.. On the way from 7-1 to 7-3 to 8-4!!
  12. Yeah, we’re a top 10, 10 wins a season team now!
  13. @WingT08I’ve got several girls like that!
  14. No offense to General, but because we have never been a fake team and historically schedule terrible teams, that’s not saying much! Lotta teams beat us “back in the day”.
  15. General, I for one hope you are correct! Personally, I would like to see Lewis win tonight and advance to the second round. Whichever they play, they may have a chance to make it to the third round if; your Rockets are not playing to par as you have stated and Hohenwald can get up or, if they can get up for Adamsville (though Adamsville is a terrible team). I don't see a team from either region making it past Westview but it would be good for them to have a 9-4 record which I think is better than 10-1 or 10-2 because it shows more desire.
  16. Imma count you as a friend, then. Much respect for your Rockets. They used to have some good teams back in the day. Saw them play Spring Hill back in the mid-80's.
  17. Story line for this evening: 8-2 Cascade travels to Hohenwald to face 7-3 Lewis County. Both lost last week and both have a loss to Summertown. LC is bringing a two game losing streak where they basically mailed it in before the Summertown game and then got decimated by Riverside. Like Cascade, they only have one win against a team with a winning record and that was against an injury depleted East Hickman team. I still say Cascade wins this. No way can a team that's already mailed in the season win a playoff game especially with the knowledge that Chapel Hill will blow them out next week. However, if Hohenwald wins this evening, that does put them into the second round, which they always lose but gets them an 8-4 record on the year which does look better than 7-4 and, provides two wins over teams with winning records this season. What say ye, will Hohenwald be playing Chapel Hill next week?
  18. Isn't this like the fourth or fifth thread related to these specific matchups? Could you not have posted this in one of the many others?
  19. 1) I do not have a fixation on their coach, team or town. I have never spoken of him. I have only stated he has two buddies at the T$$AA that help rig his regions. I just think it’s funny and fun to get on here and call them and their posters (you) out on such a fake program. If I wasn’t stating the truth, people (you) would not get mad about it. 2) Oh, I am able to leave it alone. Very seldom pop on here during the off season but, you prolly should have just joined this with #1 but, I guess it makes you feel that you actually have more to say to branch into another number. 3) The only thing I claim to know about Hohenwald is that their team is fake because they play weak schedules year in and year out. By the way, who would name a restaurant a name like that and who from out of town would want to eat at a place with a name such as that? 4) Ha, glad you responded. I enjoy good banter. Hey old timer. 7-4
  20. Who is crying? Who has no control? Why would someone want to travel to Hohenwald to go to a junkyard, much less just to eat dinner at one? This is what I am talking about!
  21. Found another poster in the Lewis/Cascade thread that thinks they beat Cascade Friday night. That will bump them into the second round. So, that’s like three for yes and two for no.
