I hate we missed out on that game with Giles because it would not have costs us anything but yet provided more experience. We have gotten much better on our mistakes. Son’t let the color of our cleats fool you, we got speed!

I’ve been saying we have speed this year! Been saying it all year. I think we have the disclipine figured out to where some of the bonehead penalties have dissipated greatly. However, this is going to be the first major challenge this year.

Then, don’t be commenting on the thread! If all you can offer is more excuses then you, my friend, are no better than that program itself! I have not one called you or any other poster on here any names what so ever. However, each reply u bring has negativity and name calling. That dictates you have gone over board and taken the question personally. My suggestion is that you take a break from coacht and collect yourself. Regardless of how many excuses you bring forth or how many of those excuses you convince yourself are reasons, you will never be able to equate them to dictate Hohenwald always has, does have and probably will have an easy schedule playing teams with losing records and getting bounced by the second round when formidable competition comes along. Now, I have answered your argument and provided examples going back decades. But, you refuse to answer my question as to Hohenwald successfully completing an undefeated or high winning record in a competitive region.

Everybody every season has a down week. If ours is this week you may be correct. The Lions do have speed but I think we have a little more. Should be a good game! I hope so!

We all know how a quality/competitive schedule makes a team better. We also know perfect or extremely high W/L ratio can mean a team is over-rated.

WHat’s your answer? Do you think they will make it past the second round? It’s simple. There are two choices. One is yes and the other is no. Don’t cower out to fit your agenda by offering “if they ....”. By that statement, I’m assuming you are venturing to guess they will. I’m not asking if you think they have a weak schedule or not (on this thread) because it has already been established that they do.

We know they are going into the playoffs with either a 9-1 or 8-2 record. That’s an annual given with maybe a 10-0 record every now and then. the question is do you think they make it past the second round?

What excuse or excuses do you have for the past two decades? Okay Just more and more excuses. What is going to be next? They have easy schedules because it rains more down there? You can’t even utilize your own excuse! Lol you even denigrate it by throwing Alcoa i to the mix; or, are you trying to equate Lewis County in the same realm as Alcoa? Welp, Hohenwald has a 5-1 record but they still are not ranked this week. Could it be that people are finally seeing what the program really is?

I guess you just are not paying attention because I already have. But, I will, and have, challenge you to find a weaker region but you have continually refused to do so! Add to that, find a more easy region that Lewis County could have been placed in for the past 20 years. Just as this years second round or earlier playoff loss, you wont be able to. So, the original question in the original post is; do you think Lewis County makes it past the second round this year????

Ah, so, the swap in regions for 2013 was just a fluke? It doesn’t matter, really; because you can’t defend that Lewis County is ALWAYS IN A WEAK REGION AND ALWAYS SCHEDULES WEAK OUT OF REGION GAMES! I have been telling that for years and years. Laugh out loud, you guys are making excuses now and want me to prove what I have already proven while you call me names and do everything you can to nullify what I have put on display for all!

Here you are trying to make excuses why Hohenwald has an extremely weak schedule this year but when I inquire you to prove if they could have had a weaker schedule for the past two decades you are not able to. I have backed up my claim, even utilizing other posts from other posters going back almost two decades. What do you come at me with? “Prove it”. Just so you know what everyone else who has read coacht has come to know is; no matter what classification Hohenwald is placed in; no matter what region Hohenwald is places in, they ARE GOING TO BE IN THE WEAKEST REGION PLAYING AGAINST THE WEAKEST TEAMS! Add in the extremely weak out of region teams and you will have an over inflated W/L record. The early round playoff losses prove that year in and year out! Now, prove the above paragraph incorrect. Don’t make excuses. Don’t deflect it. Don’t make it about me or Page. I have not only backed up what I have been saying I have proven it. Now, simply prove me wrong!

Since you are not understanding what I am saying, you put them in a more competitive region. Then, when you finish that, go back over the seasons and put them in a less competitive region based upon locals. Go back to any year, not just this year and I will even give you cherry picking! I will say this, not only was I surprised I was shocked Richland wasn’t placed in the same region. I called that they would be but for some reason, they were not!

Lewis County really is not good. They just have inflated recrds.

So, what you are saying is that Lewis County has historically (always) been placed in the worst region possible because of their location? That all throughout the past two decades plus, they were placed in regions with weak teams only because of their location? It’s not because of the two buddies in the T$$AA? They have not been moved out of competitive regions because of tough competition? They only scheduled weak single A teams such as Collinwood because they were close? Let me ask you this; why does the region record of their opponents all thorough out the past two plus decades look dismal, regardless of classification while other competitive teams exist in the same area? Why, with all of the 10-0 records to end the regular season end up being 10-1 or 11-1? This, throughout the past two plus decades.

I gotta go with the Patriots in this one. I just think we have the edge on speed. I only hope our (off) week last weak doesn’t go against us. I do hope we have some of the kinks worked out as far as penalties. That one single area could prove damaging to and for us.

Cone on now, y’all. Everyone knew the outcome or what it is going to be long before the season began. It’s going to be the same as for all the other teams except Fayetteville, and maybe Riverside and it’s not because Lewis is like Fayetteville or Peabody or Alcoa etc.. Can we guess how we knew the outcome months ago?

For two or more decades? So, you think that having Hohenwald in a weak region for over two decades, even in times when there were more competitive teams, is balanced? What about all of those, not just single A teams but weak and terrible single A teams they have played over the years? Does constantly beating those teams year in and year out substitute for quality? let me ask you, what about the region schedule as far as you would design it? Peabody interjected in here. Are they paper champions as well because they roll through their schedule? I’m assuming they go undefeated or close to it but yet they roll on through the playoffs. I will tell you no and that is because they have gold balls. As far as your argument, evidently it wont matter to you because now it’s geographical but next it will be school size with in 2A then something like restaurant size or the difference in how much it rains in Hohenwald versus other areas.

You make an excellent point. Peabody is the prime example. That program can compete at multiple levels. Not only is that program absolutely tearing up 1A now but has also done it at a higher level as well. The Hohenwald bunch wants you and others to think and believe they are at that level, which they are not As far as diminishing the kids and coach, that is something I have not do e. I have called out the coach having friends in high places. It’s just not fair to other kids in other programs that are not part of fallible inflated programs

I have answered that rhetorical question and done so on more than one occasion. Not only that, but if you will read my response to the next post, you will see my point(s) made further. Ha ha. I doubt that. But, you can go back almost 20 years and find that I’m not the only one pointing out the fact that Hohenwald has always had an inflated program due to weak scheduling! To further prove my point, there have been quoted posts from almost two decades ago.

For the season, excluding Fayetteville and Riverside, all opponents combined have a 17-30 record. That’s 17 wins and 30 losses. Excluding the previously mentioned schools, only one of Lewis County’s opponents has a winning record! Talk about numbers!

As with all all but two teams on this years schedule and highly reminiscent of Lewis County’s year in and year out schedule, Adamsville brings a losing record to Hohenwald this Friday night. Anyone think this game will be different than the other contests on the schedule this year?

Actually, what you just stated is the definition of being mutually exclusive. In all actuality, you just stated what you did because you were not able to defend my counter claim.
