  1. Tullahoma is coming off an undefeated season and travels to Shelbyville Thursday night to start the season. Tullahoma has looked okay during the preseason scrimmages. I haven’t heard anything about Shelbyville, so what are your thoughts on this 4A versus 6A matchup?
  2. It’s game day, time to put up or shut up. I predict the Wildcats win tonight in similar fashion as to their first meeting.
  3. The line averages 6’ 2” - 279 pounds. They have been together since middle school. They are playing very well!!!
  4. I was hoping for a rematch and hopefully some revenge for last years loss to DC....but on the other hand at least I don’t have to hear how DC beat Tullahoma and Nolensville last year and how much better they are this year. Obviously that was not the case! Since Tullahoma’s last game against Nolensville a few weeks ago Nolensville has won some tough games. They may be the best team Tullahoma has seen all year. In the last game Tullahoma jumped them for 22 unanswered points in the first half and It was pretty much even in the second half. I believe we will see the second half Nolensville team this coming Friday night and expect this to be a very good game. Tullahoma’s lineman and run game will be to much for DC and Tullahoma should win and advance to the next round.
  5. As a Tullahoma fan with no kid on the team, the score went as expected; however, MCs actions were not expected. There were at least 3 MC kids that intentionally tried to stir the pot, one of them eventually got ejected. I witnessed his teammates give him hugs and high fives for the cheap and uncalled for hit. After witnessing that it was not entirely shocking when they started fighting amongst themselves. I remember someone on the forum expecting MC to go after #2 to get him ejected for unsportsmanlike penalties, kind of funny if that was the plan, how it didn’t work out for them. It is pathetic to watch individuals cheapen the sport by resulting to such tactics, beat a team fare and square or tip your hat to the better team. I hope coach O and MC can right the ship.
  6. I agree, while I expect it to be close in the first half I expect Tullahoma’s physical play to wear down MC and they pull away in the second half, Tullahoma 38 - MC 14.
  7. While Marshall County is a good team, I do not believe they match up well against Tullahoma. Tullahoma is bigger, faster, and stronger than MC, especially at the line of scrimmage. Tullahoma also have multiple kids that can take it the house on any play. If the game is turnover free I expect the score to be closer than the week 3 score, but I believe Tullahoma advances to the next round.
  8. I have missed very few games over the past 8 years. This journey started 3 year ago when Tullahoma went 8-2 regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs. The offensive line that year was mostly freshman and we had a ferocious hard working defense. Last year we had some injuries late in the season and looked past Dekalb County in first round of playoffs. This year the offensive line is made up of juniors who I would say is as big and physical as any team in 4A. We have good team speed on both sides of the ball. We have 3 running backs, that have different styles of running, plus a running quarterback so it’s hard to focus on just 1 back. One of the running backs did move to Tullahoma this year and is new to the team. We also have some good receivers that don’t drop many passes. I believe one of the best parts of the team is the kicker who puts most kickoffs in the end zone, which means teams have to drive 80 yards, no short fields. I have to give the defense a lot of credit, they don’t give up big plays, they tackle really well...it’s a special group of kids. This team has scored 376 points and only given up 95 in 9 games plus 1 covid win. They are fun to watch!
  9. Region 4A-5 is a travel nightmare plus 9 teams.....really
  10. The real question in mind is: will Tullahoma rest players again this week or will they start their regular team and then substitute based on score? Another question would be is TUA televising the game or is NHFS?
  11. I don’t know much about Stone Memorial, based the stats I have seen, their defense gives up a bunch of points, while Tullahoma’s defense is very stingy. I believe Tullahoma wins 45-14 and advances to the second round.
  12. On to the playoffs, what are your thoughts?
  13. 4A, Region 4, Tullahoma kicker Justus Chadwick, junior, 102 career points, 2020: 36 for 36 PATs, 4 of 4 FG long 37, 37 touchbacks, 11 punts 36 yard average
  14. I can’t believe more hasn’t been said about this game, especially since Tullahoma can win Region 4 with a victory.

  16. This game is hard to predict for me because I can’t see Nolensville’s game statistics. Both are 3-0 in the conference. Thanks to covid they have only played one common opponent (Lawrence County) and they both won, easily based on the scores. The one thing that does stand out is the points for PF and points against PA. Assuming ?preps is correct Nolensville has 180 PF and 140 PA, while Tullahoma has 261 PF and 67 PA. Tullahoma’s numbers do not include the 2 points for covid win. Based on this one set of numbers, it appears to me that Nolensville’s offense barely out scores, 22 points per game, what it defense gives up, 17 points per game Tullahoma’s defense gives up less than 10 points per game while the offense scores 40 points per game. I believe the game is close early; but, Tullahoma pulls away for a 35 to 7 win.
  17. What are your thoughts on this game?
  18. I truly hope that does not happen to Region 4. I don’t like the idea of 4 hour drives to watch a 2 hour games. Plus that has 8 teams in Region 5. While other regions only have 4....
  19. I say a 10! But this is 2020. Tullahoma is a really good team that does not give up big plays. I can’t think of a single kid that plays consistently on both sides of the ball...there are times that offensive kids do play defense, but it’s not every snap. Taking out the covid win, Tullahoma is scoring 43 points per game, 360 yards of offense, while appoints score 11 points per game. Let’s not forget that 29 of 42 kickoffs are touchbacks, which is a huge advantage! Tullahoma is not a one dimensional team and has playmakers on offense, defense, and special teams. I believe they go 10-0!
