  1. Not many posters this week. I guess everybody is Taking Care Of Business. Hope all of us South of the Nolichucky are.
  2. Swipes you are right. Devin has been a big help and yes he has tons of quality experience that can only help us. He’s really pushed us in the weight room, too. We love having him at SG.
  3. We do have a lineman who transferred from Greeneville. He went to a SG feeder school k-8 though and his mom was on several of our basketball championship teams so he’s homegrown so to speak. He has helped our line but we have four other guys that have worked their tails off to be right beside him. Our coach has pushed the boys hard in the weight room. Our O and D lines have really improved. The offense has gotten more comfortable with the style of offense Coach Verran likes to run. Our D is getting better too.
  4. Yeti I’d love to take credit for putting up 75 points but if you are looking at m*x pr*ps you’ll see the guy who was the score keeper. Notice his name. He’s a prankster. Real score was 22-0. I’ve tried to correct the score but the link is messed up. I’d also love to say we are showing real separation, but we just haven’t proven it yet. Happy Valley and Hampton will be a battle. Hampton is getting better faster than the rest of us.
  5. After watching SN game film, CD runs runs runs. Cutshaw and Murvin are the work horses. Palazzo passes just enough to try to keep the defense from stacking the box. When P does pass he’s pretty accurate. Should be a great game. Hope my Rebs are focused.
  6. CD has improved. Offensively, they are much more explosive and have more of a dual threat. It will be a tough challenge for our D. There are several playmakers for CD. Rush seems to be having a great year. He’s slippery in open space. Can’t forget Palazzo. He has improved as well. They put up more points than we did against SN. We may struggle to slow them down if our D don’t show up. I will say I am gaining more confidence in our D. Great test for us. We have got to WORK the trenches. If we can do these things and clean up our game I like our chances.
  7. This is a good test for sure! I hope these young men Understand they will be living, working, and coaching their sons grass cutter teams and tee ball teams alongside these Black Knights one day and having bragging rights sure would be sweet. Not to mention this would be a massive step toward keeping that county trophy on Rebel Hill to sit right next to the grand ole milk can. This is huge. No doubt CD will be ready. We need to make sure we are too! We need to do the little things right every play.
  8. Missed some holes missed some blocks missed some reads. If u don’t believe me ask the Hampton fellas.
  9. We had some offensive issues! Was very ugly. Mental mistakes still plaguing us. In some quarters we had more negative yardage than positive. We’ve got to clean some things up for sure. Missed opportunities. Glad to get a win. Defense is getting better!
  10. HUGE RIVALRY!!! The Black Knights would love to whip us at their place. We have to EARN IT and TAKE IT.
  11. Almost Game Time!!! Rebs, Let's play hard and get after ‘em.
  12. Maryville pays coaches to coach even at the youngest training league age. That way the high school coaches basically choose what the young kids are learning from the very beginning. I’m sure 1st graders are learning fundamentals and plays for the high school level. Building and maintaining a dynasty brick by brick (pardon the Butch Jones slogan).
  13. Yeti, do you all have one younger training league or multiple? Like grass cutters, peewee, and midgets before you get to middle school? Daddy coaches or do you all have some type of program that chooses the coaches?
  14. One of those rbs is a transfer from Towering Oaks right?
  15. Thanks man we appreciate your support. Have you seen GMS this year?
  16. What sort of organized lifting program does everybody use? Does anybody still use the BFS?
  17. Love that. SG players have gotten much more serious and it shows. Hoping our guys hold each other accountable like that. Admire Greeneville’s work ethic. That is the foundation!
  18. Wow. Prayers for the family, team, and school.
  19. #1 had a concussion and #23 hurt his shoulder. I think separated shoulder. That’s all I have heard.
  20. Won’t be the first time Cloudland has overcome adversity. Cland 21-7
