You can’t blame the kids for leaving though, honestly at the end of the day no matter if it’s in Memphis or any other part of tn. A good player is more likely to be seen by recruiters in bigger schools. In Memphis it’s just so many schools it’s easy to move and get in that bigger school. The kids know bigger schools get bigger offers. If a kid has a 2500 yard rushing year in a 1a school in this area he will get a ut Martin, maybe an Arkansas state or Murray state. If a kid in a 6a school rushes for 2500 he’s going to have sec offers

Didn’t see or read anything about west Carroll and greenfield, what happened? I thought yal would be more physical and be able to not let them get out side and wear them down. Did the ricketts kid have a big night?

Yeah bigger Memphis teams are good. But you can’t compare 5a school to 1a it’s almost certain that a five a team would beat a 1a team. But as far in their classifications I don’t think there are ten that would beat teams in west tn. I would say there are more than ten. I wouldn’t say everyone below those teams are subpar though. I can’t speak for everyone else but when I say a Memphis team I’m talking about our classification. I’m not worried about what the 4a or 5a school are doing. We will not see them. You can be disciplined and well coached and not be very good. And you can also be good and not be disciplined or well coached.

For sure. One injury on a single a team you can go from deep play off run to winning a couple games.

It’s going to happen. Especially on here. But it’s not just memphis teams that are done that way. Every team gets it on here. If your team isn’t discipline, make them discipline it starts in the spring and summer. As far as not being physical most teams in Memphis aren’t. Especially in 1a, they are athletic teams. You can’t change your team if they aren’t physical then they just aren’t you can work on hitting and tackling and blocking in practice. But you have to play with the hand your dealt and be a spread team that throws a lot. That’s okay. Nothing is wrong with it. Normally those teams don’t match up well against physical pound the ball teams but if you can’t do that then you just can’t. No one in huntingdon for example cares if you say they can’t throw and all they can do is run the ball. Because that’s them. They are built to run the ball. Most Memphis teams are small up front. But like the other guy said when you find a rival school it’s not nice on here or the field. Lake county absolutely hates union city. Played them for years. Had great games with them. Have gotten blown out by them. There aren’t many from lake county that likes union city period. It comes with the territory. It’s not just the Memphis teams.

Lake county did a lot of tackling at practice after that. Not sure if true but I heard they went shorts and helmets two day that week leading up to the Dresden game. But maybe it was a good thing they played a lot better after that loss. And our don’t rush Yates plan didn’t work on the least lol

If you do coach for prep, if it’s this week, next week, the week after or in cookville. If your getting beat pretty bad, don’t let the kids quit. Last week west woods qb quit on his team would not go in the game at some point in the third. That’s a bad look for the coaches, the program and especially the kid. The kid seemed to be very talented had good arm and was accurate but colleges don’t want a kid that quits on his team. It was disappointing to find that out. You can’t really control if your getting beat by forty, but it shows a lot about your program if your kids keep fighting, and makes a difference in the years to come. Especially with a team like y’all that’s just starting and in its second year, it means a lot to say your team and kids have heart that sure goes along way. #11 The rb for Westwood sure had a lot of hear He ran hard the entire game. He would be a nice one to have in the county

Greenfield isn’t very physical either

Is this the same team that dez got hit while kneeled to take a snap on an extra point attempt that was blown dead before the snap? Or was hat a different memphis team?

I will agree too. I don’t believe they are discipline enough in the scheme to keep greenfield inside. Greenfield will get to the outside and out run everyone on the field.

I just think it’s wild that in three games we haven’t seen any of them. I mean one game yeah I can understand that but three?

It really is. I don’t know if you have been to lake county before or not. But the people here are not disrespectful like that. With all that being said about our kids being dirty. I can’t help but remember last year. Our running back was our holder. 23 the kid that had 2500 yards and is a mr football finalist this year at the end of the play off game with them in a blow out in our favor on a dead play because whistle blew a kid came across and just leveled him while he was kneeled down to take the snap.

How many kids does greenback have that will go d1?

You have to get old fashion onion rings. Not the regular ones. Their fries dipped in the ranch there is amazing
