Well, now that the holidays have come and gone, and we are into the off season for football now let’s talk about it. Are there going to be any coaching changes in Williamson county? Firings? Coaches stepping down? Anyone else hear anything. I know a new school is going to open in Rutherford county, so do any of them get that job at Rockvale? Are the frequency of players transferring going to continue to trend upwards? I’m really curious to see how that is. Let’s talk some football.

Rain and cold is the forecast Friday night, but I heard Page had a new turf field installed this year. I imagine that will help with the playing conditions for this one. That would be great considering how big of a game this is for both programs. I wonder if good ole wicked tuna is still around reading coacht. He usually has some good insight on the Page football program.

Don’t know a lot about beech yet, but known they are a good team in the playoffs every year. The Patriots will have to come to play in this one, but i know they are ready for the challenge. Will be back later with more thoughts. These flap jacks aren’t going to flip themselves.

Interesting night of football for this region. All things considered all the games played out about expected. Looks like Hillsboro has a pretty darn good team based on that score, but Lincoln County is dealing with a lot right now. Shelbyville has a great team this year, and now some great coach’s maximizing those kids with a good system. This one will be a fun game. Proud of the Patriots and how they showed up and took care of business last night. They are focused and ready to try and make a run. Playing lights out in all phases of the game right now. Beech this year didn’t look like the typical program they are, but they’ve turned it on lately, and consistently perform well in the playoffs. They’ll be ready to give the Patriots a good game. Really looking forward to that one.

Way to go, Patriots. It’s been a busy fall for me flipping flapjacks, but wanted to pop in and congratulate you on a big start to the playoffs. Now go get em next week against Beech.

Congrats Cane Ridge. Good people over there, and it looks like they’ve got a really good team again this year. May be headed to Cookeville again even.

Congrats to Coach Perry and the golden bears. It’ll be tough one next week against Blackman but they’ll be well prepared I’m sure.
