  1. Boone goes 7-0. Science hill hasn’t faced a defense like Boones.
  2. If TN high doesn’t play by their choice, then since it’s conference games, it’s considered a loss unless I misunderstood the rules. Only no contest if not a conference game
  3. If Boone wins tonight and next week, they win conference. First tie breaker is head to head and if TN high gets a loss for not playing then Boone would win based on beating Crockett. Crockett would be 2
  4. Not sure they’ve played over their heads. They played a very tough schedule. Their 4 losses were all to highly ranked teams at the time. I’m not sure they can hang for 4 quarters but I think they keep it close. Most predicted Halls would come into Boone and win and we know how that turned out. Boone keeps it close but the run may end here for a year that overall turned into a very good season. Those kids have played their hearts out - and to be the only Region 1 team left standing says a lot
  5. Guess saban is in town. Now everyone knows. Well, at least cole is playing.
  6. Yes. I think he’ll dress out. Just for the heck of it. Only imagine what the season would’ve been with him healthy and Blair playing all year like he has lately. Still a great year but I think at least 2 of those loses are wins if he played.
  7. Fair enough. I think if Knox gets an early lead, you can take some mental focus away from Crockett. They haven’t played well from behind last few games. I’m a region 1 fan- Boone obviously- but I’d like nothing more than to see the teams from up this way do well. That said, if Crockett gets behind, from what I’ve seen over past few weeks, they start making some bad decisions and bad penalties. Close game, 35-28 Knox. Even though I’d like to see the upset.
  8. From your comments and all, I’m guessing you are a Knox central fan at least. Haven’t seen much of them this year but question I have is are they aware that Larkin could set the passing record tomorrow night and is that a focus for them to try to not let happen or is the focus on winning regardless of the passing record. Both teams are talented. Both come in on losing streaks. I give the home team the edge. Especially in first round.
  9. Keep hearing rumors Cole will play. Do you have inside information that he isn’t? Have heard from several different places. I think Boone wins either way, but just him being on the field would be a huge benefit- I think he at least takes a few snaps but I don’t know. Boone wins 28-14
  10. There wasn’t a discussion. This post was about R1/R2.
  11. Those 4 loses would be different I’d say- I think they could’ve beat Elizabethton with both and the TN high game would’ve been closer. I’d still like to see Cole at least get a few times on the field next week but doubtful. I think it would’ve been 8-2 season. Possibly won the region. Halls is a good team but I think the momentum Boone has will carry them on but looking at the bracket, they’d probably head to South Doyle unless Cherokee could pull a huge upset. I think Boone and TN high only R1 teams that win.
  12. I think Boone and TN high both have legit chances at wins. I would’ve said Crockett too but I’m not sure now. Crockett should be playing mad but Knox central will be playing mad too. Cherokee will be lucky to score. I think Boone wins especially if they can keep grinding it out on the ground. Who would’ve thought Blair would be their 1000 yard rusher? They look pretty good for next year as far as offensive side.
  13. I think he needs over 300 against Mo East to have a chance. If they draw Knox central first round, they’ll do their best to keep him from getting it.
  14. Boone / Cherokee close first half. Boone pulls away second. I would’ve went with what got me 7 wins and that’s Larkins arm not trick play. Boone almost looked like they knew it was coming.
  15. Don’t make it personal dude. Take the L and move on. Maybe the refs will be wearing Mo East uniforms and Crockett will be sitting home when the playoffs start
  16. I think if they play with the same energy they did against Crockett, they can at least be around til the second round. I think they need to start fast Friday night to show there’s no hangover affect. The loses were blowouts but I’ve got friends associated with Dobyns Bennett and Elizabethton both and they said Boone was one of the most physical teams they played all year.
  17. Good deal making fun of high school kids. I was just stating a fact. Move on to Mo East.
  18. Wow. And imagine that 15-18 year olds that should be in better shape couldn’t stop him
  19. Boone wins a close one. I think they roll into the playoffs on a winning streak.
  20. Unfortunately south Doyle will run all over them. I’d take 3 out 4 wins
  21. The home teams from region 1 have the advantage for first round wins- hopefully. Even 1 win by a region 1 team will upset the Knoxville balance. I think we get 2 - TN high and Boone and Crockett keeps it close enough going to the 4th for a win there as well.
  22. Boone wins a close one. I think they have great momentum going into playoffs. First round looks like TN vs Knox hall at TN. Boone vs Gibbs at Boone. Crockett vs Knox Central at central and Cherokee vs south Doyle at south Doyle. I think all 4 have a shot at a first round win. Would drive the Knoxville people crazy if it happened. Then it would be TN vs Cherokee and a Boone/ Crockett rematch. That would be a great scenario
  23. No way that happens. Even if by some off chance Cherokee beats Boone no way Mo East beats Crockett. I say Boone and Crockett both win. TN -1. Boone- 2. Crockett-3. Cherokee -4. And I’ll be rooting for all 4 come November 8th-
  24. I think all 4 region 1 teams have a chance to advance. Knoxville teams are good but one year region 1 can do it, why not this year.
  25. I did. Why blame the refs every time you lose? Still no answer for 196 rushing yards and 4 tds???
