Is the gym at Roan Mountain bigger than the one in Baileyton? Would like to see one of these two games this year and I figure I am probably not getting into North Greene's gym for it. When are the two games?

I'd say Crockett goes this year. The drop from 4A to 3A will certainly be beneficiary, avoiding a possible game with Bearden in the sectional. I think if the Story girl can manage her foul output, they are pretty well unstoppable in this area.

Yup... Circus was a good way to put it with that one clown in the zebra stripes making himself the entire show. Not saying we would have won the boys game without that idiot... but he definitely cost us the girls game. It's pretty bad when one official rings up 5 T's combined between the two games against one school in one night. Thank God, Saturday is the last time in the regular season we have to put up with refs from that area.

So Maryville didn't blow that 26 point lead this time I'm guessing?

Copied my answer from the same topic in the girls thread: A trusted media source told me that region tournament sites are determined by: Site has to be within a so-and-so drive time of all schools within the region. (can't remember the exact time length) Gym has to be able to hold expected number of fans. That's why in Region 1-4A, the region tournament is held at either Daniel Boone, Dobyns-Bennett, Morristown East or Jefferson County. This year it's at Morristown East. Boone and D-B are just inside that driving range for District 2 schools, West Ridge and Science Hill are just outside of it. Jeff County and East are inside that driving range for District 1 schools, Sevier County isn't and Morristown West gym is too small.

Told my wife that driving home. Ought to just promote the entire JV. They're drilling everyone they play.

I'm sure he's undefeated... never lost a game. I'll give you this. We're much worse than I even thought we were... we abandoned defense entirely hoping we could outscore Boone and failed miserably. I'm starting to think we'll be lucky to win a single conference game. I know we're young, but Poore is the kind of coach who doesn't like using that as an excuse. He's getting pretty fed up with the way they're playing and you can tell.

Were the refs fair to them? Probably not. But I ain't complaining because of their attitude.

I don't like South Shore. They went on my bad list that first game when the Montgomery kid from Independence tried to help their player up and he kicked at him and then shoved him. And now one of their players just shoved Noah from Harlan County for coming over and checking on one of their players. Go back to Brooklyn and play at Rucker Park with the playground rules where you belong. Their attitude probably hasn't helped draw any favorable calls from the District 1 refs either.

Yep you did. Here's the breakdown so far as game is still ongoing: --South Shore gets a technical for dunking in warm-ups. --South Shore coach is made to sit for the game. --South Shore coach asks ref "I didn't dunk. Why do I have to sit?!" --Ref replies "Because I told you to." --South Shore coach at the half walks off the court and yells "I'm never coming back here! Ever!" --South Shore players have been called for two more technicals --Between third and fourth quarter break South Shore fan yells "Ref you suck!" --Ref subsequently gives South Shore coach second T. --Scorers table clarifies it was a fan and not the coach so coach is allowed to stay on the bench. --Harlan County still gets to shoot the two technicals and makes both.

This South Shore and Harlan County game deserves some good ole Yakety Sax music! Lmao

We'll be lucky to get out of the Region this year.

Arby's Classic semifinal 2 final: Jackson-Reed 63, Mater Lakes 42 Tigers will play Kell for the 40th Arby's Classic championship tomorrow. Bears will play Mentor for third place tomorrow.
