  1. It is hard for me to figure how some preseason polls go and anytime you leave off Farragut and Bearden out of your top 5 I think you have made a mistake. Both will be good this year and Both have a chance to make it to the finals. My top 5 are Brentwood-- until they lose they are 1st Farragut Bearden Hendersonville Houston
  2. Rigger 101 , Thanks for having been a fan of Farragut this year. We hope to have you back next year in our corner. We will be good and hope to make up for where we fell off a little bit. Our coach has said he hopes to get Brentwood on our schedule in 2006 so maybe that will happen. When everyone else wrote us off this year Coach Culbreth kept our heads up and was a positive influence on all of us. So Fingolfin, if that is the WCPC talking then so be it. We have a great coach and we will be very good next year.
  3. Fingolfin. Our coach is what you should hope to be when you grow up. He is a fair man who has bent over backwards to help many people. I became involved after Coach Culbreth was already here two years and from every player that has left here they say he was their greatest coach. I don't know where you have ever been around our coach, but I have a hard time believing that you will find someone he has coached ever say anything bad about him. He is not perfect and makes us mad sometime, but I will put him up against any coach as a fair, honest, coach who wants to help us grow. And I would give him credit for where we have been because he always works on making us a team.
  4. BHS is an out an out liar, I will not comment any further , but Find anyone at the tourmnament that thought Farragut did not dominate the whole game. What a joke BHS. Why did your Keeper try to make the save then. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
  5. Well, we just got back and you have heard Brentwoods side, so here is Farraguts and no sour grapes just our side. BHS, I would hope you would say that Farragut was a good team because you know as well as I do, Farragut dominated the game. The foul was called by an AR but he was on the sideline, the foul was in the middle of the field 50 ft from the AR , 20 foot from the Center Official. Play was allowed on and the Brentwood team did not stop , that is an out an out lie!@ The goal was called good by the center ref , he pointed to the middle and brought the ball out to center. Then he went over to the AR and called it a non goal and REFUSED to explain himself to our coach or anyone. Our coach demanded an explanation, and the ref laughed at him( very professional and virtually outside the guidelines , since a coach is entitiled to the explanation.) How much time went on, well on the the ball went from the defensive 1/3 by our sweeper to the other 2/3 of the field and 6 players touched it before Jake Russell shot it, so I sort of doubt it was any where less than a minute with all those touches and the distance,( Try it yourself with defenders in the way. More than a minute is reasonable. In any game I have ever watched or anyone who was with us had ever heard of, the linesman call and where it was should have never negated the goal. Seriously, how many times have you ever seen play go on that far, use that much of the field and then the goal called back, probably like everyone else NEVER. The center ref even called us for a foul several times when we had the ball and the defender fell down. Anyone explain that? BHS, go ahead and talk your trash about beating us, but anyone watching saw Farragut was the better team, we just came up with the short end of the deal. Big G you were very politically correct, but your a coach so I understand
  6. Correct, Farragut won 7-0
  7. Farragut is going beating Morristown West 7-0 in sectionals
  8. Cockiness has already knocked some good teams out, Brentwood needs to come with all their guns, this is playoff time and things have a way of surprisizing people. I would reserve the word Kills anyone until after a game has been played. I play in the east but know this on any given day............ Glencliff may bring a big stick, Brentwood be prepared
  9. WEAVEWORLD, i don't think Tony was beating on whether Bearden is any good or not, I think he was just telling you it is hard to beat anyone 3 times. As far as beating us already 2 times, I will concede that you beat us in the district finals, but the first game, you scored and we didn't and that gives you the win , but we outshot you and really outplayed you, but you are right you won, so if telling you that irks you we are sorry, just make sure your confidence shows up tommorrow night, you just might need it thumb
  10. Hoya, You certainly do your homework in all 3 divisions. Great anaylsis!! Congratulations to a tough Bearden team who played us last night. The reffing was fair to both teams, Yes, having Austin Rhoades out hurt us, it reduced our ability to change things as we do, but our biggest problem last night was that we were alittle flat after a great game with Maryville and Bearden came to beat us and they did no excuses, I humbly hope we get a 3rd chance
  11. Coach Gerlack at CAK (A/AA) and Coach Culbreth at Farragut n(AAA), Both have had Back to Back State Champions in the last 2 years and are still in the hunt for this year
  12. Winning coach puts in shot count in the paper and while it may be true, Coach Sheppard does like to exaggerate. Good job Halls, you are still in it
  13. Yes, Maryville did step up to play us, but lack of a player as we were with that much time pushes any team to it's limits. We had some poor reffing that was consistantly bad for both sides, Farragut , just seemed to get the worse of it. I am not using that as an excuse but it played in the mix. 2nd Playoffs bring out teams that haven't shown like that all year, and had that Maryville team shown up all year their record might be much better. 3rd, Every year one of our Hardest games is the one before we play Bearden. This year has been no exception. 4th, Even if Maryville played up or we played down, we won and advance to see a Bearden team at our place. We talked last night and like where we are sitting and how we are playing. Our coach said last night, Good Teams step up when they need to, we did, but now it is a whole new day and new game, we are honored to be in the playoffs
  14. Game is Wednesday 5/11 in the Farragut Stadium at 7:00 pm
  15. Tiger,,, I don't think the Maryville or the Farragut players have big heads or have lost sight of good sportsmanship. Some post on here are fans , not players. In the first game, it was 1-0 and a very clean game and I am sure both teams will come out hard. and besides all these score guesses are opinions. Some by people who don't have a clue and some by some well informed posters. Tommorows game will be alot cleaner than some who will play around the state, if for no other reason than the coaches, both try hard to keep a reign on their players
  16. IN the beginning of the year the South Doyle boys trashed me, my team, our coach, and our District. Now after the first round of the Districts, they (South Doyle) are gone, eliminated, done for the year. I told you in the beginning of the year when ya'll were bragging that we would all see where everyone was at the end of the year and see if ya'll would even be on Coach T. Well the teams you trashed Farragut, Bearden, Sevier County and Maryville are still in it, so I say to you who were going to show us how soccer is played and rule the district. South Doyle O' South Doyle where art thou???? I apologize to everyone else, but after what those players from South Doyle said what they did about everyone and then counterfeited post with my name on them, they deserved to be asked "Where their mighty butts are now!!!!" thumb (home where they belong)
  17. This sad story was passed on to us last night by Coach Culbreth before our game. As a team we prayed before our game for Ryan and his Family and ask that you do too. Sadly this weekend, the weekend of Sevier County's Prom , Ryan Roberts a Senior Captain defender on Sevier County's soccer team, was having a cookout at his house for prom weekend with friends, mostly fellow players on his team . His Father was doing the cooking and didn't feel well and had a Heart Attack and passed away at 47 while all of them were there. Ryan was lucky to have his teammates with him at the time and support of those players, his coach and friends has been all around him since. Please pray for them.
  18. Fans are wonderful BUT, they don't score goals players do, and so you get 1 point more than we do for your fans and we get 3 more goals (that is what counts in soccer) than MHS will. Let's say we are both peaking, and you have a couple of superstars, well we have 11 stars that play super together and so FHS 3-Vs. MHS 0
  19. We have struggled in the beginning of the year due to injuries and suspensions ,but lately we have had everyone back and we have played closer to what should have been where we were. Coach has done a good job turning us around and Because of what I say is mutual respect between us and CAK, neither will look past the other, and have looked forward to this game all year. We will be ready as I am sure they will be. But I am a homeboy, Farragut 2- CAK-1
  20. Humble yourself Rebel Raider, You haven't beaten everyone NOR have you gotten under the skin of everyteam. Ruthless you are, a loud fan you are, loyal to your team you are, but humble and polite you aren't. Win at soccer like you do at football, then get on a soccer thread and talk smack, right now you are somewhere just above the middle of the pack
  21. Big G , Coach said 1st, "I wish I knew what Webb played like." He said he was so busy organizing our side since it was the first game and we had some people out he thought were going to have be there to start, he failed to monitor Webb. He said, "they were just a solid team that if you didn't make things happen , they wouldn't let them happen" whatever that means is that coach talk? I wrote it down so I would remember. He did say to tell you that he sure did respect what you have done with your boys and that he would like all of you to pray before the game with him at Farragut like in years before. Not a lot of scouting but that is all coach said .
  22. Big G , I don't remember much about Webb, but our Coach is coming to lunch today with us and I'll ask him and report back when I can.
  23. Let me see if I understand this correctly. Farragut who played the hardest schedule in the state and has had some team problems with injuries and suspensions, and now have all of their team back, and not only beats 2 of the top 11 teams in 1 week but shuts them both out and you think that maybe they should be ranked??? I wonder facing the difficulties and schedule Farragut played what the record would be of your top 5 teams if they had faced the same difficulties and schedule. Heck, Farragut could have played a much weaker schedule and still be # 1, When you talk about all these scenarios of who will meet who at the state tournament, you all have already forgotten the EAST teams. The teams you have listed as your top[ 5 }records reflect a much weaker schedule and is because they are not playing the same competition week end and week out. Try anyone of those teams with Maryville, Farragut, Bearden And Seveir County in your District and your records would be a whole lot different
  24. For the brackets you suggest you are making an assumption that Oak Ridge is the powerhouse in East Tenn. To date they have not beaten anyone of merit and the only very good teams they played (Smyrna and Knox Catholic) they got beat. I still think the powers over here are Bearden,Farragut, Science Hill and Maryville and Oak Ridge might not even make it to state. And every year 1 side of the state brackets is harder than the other
  25. Don't write off Farragut yet, our on/off games have been mostly due to missing players except for Bearden. We had everyone for that game and couldn't put it away. We will be looking forward to MAryville with a full team now.
