I saw all the games today. From what I saw, Greenfield and Loretta will be in finals. Should be a good game . Winner will probably be Greenfield if they can contain Weathers.

When the finals are over, we will know who played well enough to be the State Champions in class A. All are fortunate to be in state tournament no matter how they played to get there. There will only be one winner. May the best team win.

Loretta will score as many as they need to . I see Loretta and Greenfield in finals.

All I know is the man I thought was AD was bald headed and had a beard.He was in charge of passing out trophys. Never heard of a team coach being the AD. Shows how much I know. Saw the game at Richland. Huntingdon has a pretty solid team. Richland played good first three quarters. Jennings played a very good game. The floor pressure by Huntingdon the 4th quarter was deciding factor. Too many floor mistakes by Richland. Huntingdon does have 5 very good starters that can handle the ball and shoot from anywhere. I can see how they beat Summertown. Would like to have seen a team from our region go to state. Maybe next year.

Hard to win at Richland. Officiating the worst I have seen for years. All games tilted towards Richland. Officials were escorted out of gym after game against Jo Byrns and an open confrontation between athletic director and Jo Byrns fans. Athletic director was totally out of control. Hard to win at Richland. I am not a fan of any of the teams. Just my ooinion. I like girls basketball. Worst officiating this year as a whole as I have seen in last 45 years . Hard to win at Ricland. Huntington by 20+.. They defeated Summertown which where far better than any other team in this area except Loretta.

Jennings and Richland played their typical game against Santa Fe. First half was sub par for both teams. Santa Fe went ice cold second half. Hampshire and Culleoka. Culleoka played their best game of the year. Hampshire played sub par. Watched the Hampshire - Richland championship game. Game officials can determine the outcome of a game. They started with the game opening jump ball. Worst officiating I have seen in several years. Many missed calls. Hampshire could have won game, game officials changed that. Hampshire outplayed Richland. Jennings tried to play the game without her team mates. Not an indication of a team player. Good ball player, not a team player. Region games will tell. Region not one of the strongest. Jo Burns very good. None of the teams can compare with Loretta or Summertown who are very solid team players. They will return to the State Tournament this year. Loretta , I think, should make it to the State tournament championship game. Their opponent will be a team with perfect record. But who knows, a bad game can send any team packing, regardless of how good they are. Just my take on things.

Santa Fe has had a rough time this year. Three of their better players transferred to other schools. One went to CA, one went to Central, and one went to Summertown. Better opportunity for recognition. This makes it all the more difficult for smaller schools to compete.

I understand that Richland fell apart against Santa Fe. Richland is a better team than their record indicates. District is up for grabs.

Don't believe Richland is going to wind up on top in District this year. Especially after a loss to a 5-12 team tonight. They are injury plagued at a bad time. Don't appear to have much depth. Saw Hampshire play few times. They have bench depth as they are constantly rotating players in and out. Probably be Hampshire on top as they have no District losses. Richland already has 2 District losses. Santa Fe has 2 District losses. Anything can happen with Santa Fe. Santa Fe and Hampshire play Friday night. With win, Hampshire will win District even if they lose their last game with Richland. If Santa Fe beats Hampshire, and Richland beats Hampshire, there will be 3 teams with 2 District losses.

Loretta will be the team to beat. Also surprised they lost to Gibson County last year.

Class A Girls One only has to remember Shelbyvilles dominance some years back. Loretto is solid. Summertown is beatable. Richland has 2 outstanding athletes, but dont expect them to compete with Loretto, but maybe with Summertown. I have seen all of them play.. Maury County Schools are Unit Schools that have lower enrollments. The better athletes tend to move to larger schools or Private Schools to better their opportunity in athletics. Several athletes have transferred to CA in last few years.. This happened at Shelbyville some years ago, still happens today.

CA recruits. They will be in Division 11 next year. The action is appropriate for the conduct of a school that claims to be a Christian School. The TSSAA ARRANGED THIS MOVE BY CA to move to DIVISION 11 Division next season. A class A school team that can beat AAA class schools pretty much tells the story. Dont take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
