Also the thing about SP is that like any historically dominant team (on any level) they are winning the mental part of the game even before the game starts. Get down early and the confidence just isn’t there that you will come back because you are playing SP. Hate them just like I hate Alabama, New England, Maryville, Alcoa, Ohio State. I think you get the point

Just a thought/question about strength of schedule. Let’s say hypothetically you schedule a very talented team like idk Haywood and you go out and give your best but fall short say …… 48-0. Also you have a good team like UC on your schedule but again despite your best effort you lose by say ….. oh 48 (62-14). Should you really get much credit for that SOS when in those games that give you the “#1” SOS you absolutely stink and have no chance to win? Just asking for a friend.

I highly recommend bumping up the price of admission to $10 at the gate just like the stanks do. Had to take out a home equity loan to go to see a game at ole Paul Ward.

The combined record of the 8 teams they have played so far is 9-41. With 4 of those wins bring from 1 team. Nothing I would go bragging about.

There is a whole thread on them somewhere. They are a 2A semifinal team playing JV squads. If Peabody, City, McKenzie, and any other decent 1A squad had that schedule the result would be the same.

Just feels like the west bracket this year is like the SEC. No matter who you play it’s going to be a hard road. And oh yea your light at the end of the tunnel is probably SP. Thought it would be fun to debate

No room for errors during those seasons. Tough voters So McKenzie and City would get in if they win out. If MASE and Peabody win out what would have been viewed as more important, no losses or a tougher schedule? With the strong chance of SP winning out are they already eliminated because of their 2 losses even though they were against tougher competition?

I’d call myself more of a realist than a hater. It’s good to have hopeful expectations for your teams and players but when they don’t line up with reality that’s called denial. See the reality is Peabodys ranking this year is propped up by the success of their ‘18-‘21 teams. Expectations are high because of past results not because of the true ability of this years squad. They are a sound team don’t get me wrong but are they on Fayetteville’s and McKenzie’s level? Maybe I am wrong and Peabody is the 3rd best team in 1A but the gap between them and the #2 team is much wider than you Peabody hosers want to admit.

I’m sure Driggers is a great guy that comes from a great family. That’s doesn’t make him Mr. Football. He’s playing well and we will have to see how it falls out.

Taylor deserved it over Ganaway last year and he will get it this year.

I understand the actions of a 17-18 year old completely. I just make sure me and mine understand their are consequences to the decision whether good or bad. don’t want to jump back down this rabbit hole with you. Agree to disagree
