Did the SP/ Marion county fiasco, the resume problem at Cannon Co, a presumptuous arrest, or the 200 career wins remind you of his outstanding moral fiber?
Im with you. Dont have to really know how to when youre from Gallatin. The tradition seeps from your pores when youre Galatian. I know @GWAVE1 is excited.
Fyffe has lost 7 games in the last decade. 4 state titles and played for a 5th. Go watch them play on the NHFS website. Id hate to play that bunch.
Maryville would win 4 games a year in the Birmingham region of 7A. Its a different world down there.
I love my TN ball just like you, but there is so much more of a separation than we want to admit
Courtland had roughly 90 kids 9-12 in 99.
Hazelwood was 2A. That tells me heir enrollment was not more than 200 in 99.
Community has stayed about the same over the last 20 years.
I am talking Elite vs Elite.
Champions Clash:
1A: Lanett vs Lake Co (Lanett by as many as they want)
2A; Fyffe vs Peabody (Fyffe by at least 21)
3A: Peidmont vs Alcoa (Alcoa by 21)
4A; UMS Wright vs Elizabethton (This one is a toss up, Id like to see this one!)
5A; Clay Central vs Knox Central (Clay by 30)
6A: Oxford vs Maryville (Another good one, Edge to Oxford)
7A; Thompson vs Insert TN team here (Not pretty)
But remember the schools are so much smaller in AL.
Id also like to see Maryville try to compete in AL 7A. Sure theyd do ok. but put them in the region Hoover plays in. They wouldnt make the playoffs.
Even more interesting factoid: Hazel Green has never won a state championship. And the last time HG was 2A was 1963...currently they are 6A. So theres that.
And that was a 9-6 Courtland state title team. Not their best
