Proud of the Forrest Lady Rockets for winning state championship today! Nothing against Columbia Academy but I hated to hear Summertown lost today. I've always liked summertown and they have always dominated in their batting even in middle school. But congrats to CA on their win.

After hearing about the player with 19 homeruns from Macon county I thought they would for sure make a showing at the state championship but I didn't see them listed. But congrats to that kind of a season for her!

Yes when I saw them it was one of the very first tournaments of the season so things could have very much changed. And also depending on how far they went in basketball they may have had players still playing basketball. That's how long ago it's been. However I've never seen Cascade play like that in all the time I've been watching highschool softball which has been at least 10 years. Summertown has always dominated even in middle school. So with that said I will say, I'd give Cascade the most improved award behind MTCS that I've seen lately.

No I don't mean them playing against each other. I just mean I've seen both of the teams separately play this year and I was surprised at how much Cascade has improved their program over the years. No I wasn't meaning they had played each other. Summertown is still and always has been very talented though. And they game I watched also could have been an off day or they could have had players out with illness or injury. Both were early in season and that can also make a difference in their playing abilities. I was just going off what I saw when I witnessed each team play

I don't have a dog in this race but summertown has dominated for years and after seeing them vs Cascade, I'd have to give it to Cascade between the two of of them. I've heard good things about CA but I haven't seen them play this year

Yes that was her name, Leah. She was an amazing athlete and she was entertaining to watch at bat. She'd jump straight up in the air and bring her knees up before she got in the box. Never saw anyone else do that. Forrest played Baylor in a tournament and lost 4-1 but from what I've heard about them that was a pretty good game considering how good they are. They did beat Wilson Central who I think was in championship for raptor classic. Idk who ended up winning that tournament

I don't know about the State because I don't study things like stats and all but I know Forrest has had 2 losses for the year and one was to Creekwook in a tournament and the other to Cascade. They have a heck of a good pitcher

JohnnyUtah I love your name. That's from Point Break right? One of my favorite movies. I'm a Forrest fan and they have been doing really well this year. I know Creekwood is good too. They lost to Forrest in pool games in Raptor Classic but then came back and beat them 3-2 in tournament play. I knew Gibbs was good a couple of years ago before Forrest moved up from single A and they moved down from AAA. I can't remember ss name but we all loved watching her play. I think she ended up going to play at Carson-Newman. Anyway I like being able to see who and why ppl are making predictions. I enjoy softball so I'm glad I found this forum
