  1. Wouldn’t give BTW the win against Monterey just yet. Could be bad but could also go to the wire if Monterey can knock down some treys. Those shots will be there. Like Douglass-BTW is fast but just like Douglass-BTW can’t hit the 3 consistently and relies a lot on offensive rebounds and turning you over. People don’t realize that Madison game was tied in the 4th qtr and the final score did not reflect that. Loretto doesn’t have a cakewalk either though. Hampton will give them all they want for a while. If Loretto does get in a rhythm-finds a way to win & BTW does the same then this could be the best game of them all. Loretto will always have 2 of the best players on the floor & that alone gives them more than a good shot to win.
  2. Close the borders with Mexico? LOLOLOL does Nancy Pelosi
  3. People in general cared, the media didn’t though. Why? Because the Dems had the White House.
  4. Tournaments to continue with limited fan attendance due to COVID-19 March 12, 2020 Like many other athletic associations and leagues throughout the country, TSSAA has decided that the health and safety of our student-athletes and spectators alike require that we limit fan attendance at our girls’ and boys’ state basketball championships. Beginning with the Friday March 13 session, attendance at the remainder of the girls’ state tournament and throughout the boys’ state tournament will be limited to the team party (23-person maximum including varsity players, coaches, and team support personnel), their immediate families, and school administrators of the qualifying schools. Immediate family includes parents, stepparents, guardians, siblings, other members living in the athlete’s household, and grandparents. School administrators will be required to provide a list of those persons meeting the qualifications for entry. School administrators will be at the entrance of each venue to identify and grant entry to those persons on the list. All those entering the venue will be required to obtain a new ticket. Anyone not on the approved list will not be allowed entry, even if the individual has a previously purchased ticket or pass. This restriction also includes non-varsity participants who are not in the 23-person team party, cheerleaders, mascots, and pep bands. With the exception of coaches, all other attendees may remain only for games in the class in which their team is participating. Members of the media with TSSAA issued credentials will be allowed entry.

  6. See MAHS at Union City topic Basically this is wishful thinking with not much knowledge of teams outside of Memphis. MAHS will not make it out of the 1st round. I will be surprised if BTW makes it to the championship game. Toss up with BTW, Loretto, Monterey
  7. Unfortunately it is now. Rain
  8. Other news. Dodgers - Brewers on MLB Network
  9. tradertwo I have no doubt Libs are behind this massive overreaction. Doc and Senator quoted some interesting %s earlier on a major network. 99% of those that test positive recover rather quickly much like the flu 80% of those that get it, never know they have it and don’t seek medical care As for Tom Hanks, he has type 2 diabetes so who knows how it will affect him.
  10. Atchlock will get the best of Dixon but he won’t take this game over by any stretch. This game will be won by Clay Co guards though. Union City’s point guard played terrible and that was a huge factor. For a stretch they couldn’t throw him the ball because he was going to turn it over. MAHS point guard wasn’t great offensively but solid defensively. UC also jacked up some silly treys playing 1 on 1. This won’t happen with Clay Co. so I predict a rather easy 1st round victory for CC. 8-12 points and holding a lead pretty much the entire 2nd half.
  11. Greenfield will have an opening if they don’t win the gold ball this year. There is absolutely no way ‘Greenfieldfan’ will put up with that.
  12. Watched them play more than once. Hard to turnover at least 2 of these teams. 2 of them can make one pass-length of the floor-type passes to take the top right off that pressure if they hang around the rebounder like they tend to do on missed shots. The big guy runs the floor so it’s not just the guards that get easy buckets, they will get some easy buckets. The problem I seen was they cheat a ton on defense and get out of position free lancing, along with the big guys free throw shooting. Those 2 teams I mentioned are going to be tough to beat like BTW will be. But 8 wide open treys beats 8 uncontested layups. Pair that with hack-a-shak and it could be lop sided if they don’t get enough easy buckets. With that said, I do think BTW is top 3 but no significant margin between the top 3.
  13. Healthy You have an injury?
  14. Serious now. AAA is not posted , so it will be a while before they get to A.
  15. mas I teased you with that pairing because that’s the game I want to see.
  16. nah, I can’t find a link either
  17. 1st pairing out... BTW vs Loretto
  18. What time are they drawing and will anyone be streaming?
  19. What’s your thoughts? My scouting report way off and you think they will run away with it?
  20. Don’t misunderstand, I have seen them play. They could very well win this thing. I just don’t think they could play with the old MM teams. Neither could the other teams in my opinion. Small but quick guards that are streaky shooters. See & run the floor really well and not too selfish except for 1 guy. One post that is slightly above average for 1A but can only score at the rim and not a good free throw shooter. Since he can’t step out and knock down the outside shot, it clogs up the lane for their smaller guards. I think a few of the coaches will apply the hack-a-shak method on the big guy if they keep it close til the end.
  21. I’m telling you, long money is behind this. Long money parents with non athletic kids can send a great coach packing. One could spend hundreds a week on speed/agility, ball handling tutors, shooting gurus, etc. but nothing can make a kid with 2 left feet and bad hands a good basketball player. They can be role players and you need these kids but ball players/athletes compete for titles and right now they don’t have the athletes.
