And how did Hardin Valley do this past season? There was a lot more to Cummings leaving Oak Ridge than complaining parents.......a lot more.

Rankin applied for the job twice but Mullins and the powers that be didn't hire him. Which was a huge mistake. But there's a whole lot more to this situation than it seems. Cummings did some things bad and the administration did the right thing from what I heard. But he going to be allowed to keep his job as a teacher for the time being anyway.

I guess the new coach better not yell or even raise his voice or he'll be fired too.

"I was pulled into a mtg this morning by administration and basically informed that the direction of the program was not what they want. I’m very much heartbroken over this. I love you guys and Oak Ridge. I in no way want to leave you. But sometimes in life two sides can’t see eye to eye and things happen. I’m willing to fix any and all issues needed but not going to happen unfortunately. This year has been wild. We’ve practiced off campus all year, went thru numerous challenges with injuries, etc. But along the way grew as a team and as men. I’m proud to have been your coach and I wish I still was. Once my guys always my guys. I wish we could have had a team mtg so you could see my passion for you but we weren’t afforded that. For that I’m sorry. You deserve to be told in person. I love you all."

Scott Cummings is the new head football coach at Oak Ridge. The man who has been chosen to rebuild Oak Ridge into the powerhouse program it once was. I think it was a good hire.

I was very optimistic about the Wildcats team after they beat Hardin Valley.......After that things just seemed to fall apart. It's true they haven't beaten a team with a winning record all season. That's a huge concern if you're a Wildcat fan. My prediction: If he offense shows up it should be Oak Ridge 21 mj 20. if the offense doesn't play a lot better......It will be 21-7 mj. Go Wildcats!

That's really kind of funny, even though I'm both a Oak Ridge fan and a UT fan. This could be fastest exit of a UT coach in history if this continues another year, lol. But yes, the UT loss would be like Oak Ridge loosing to a 1A school.

I'm afraid you're right. This is the worst I've seen Oak Ridge play in the modern era (about 50 years). They can't even kick a extra point two games in a row. They returned their entire offensive line and 2 really good running backs, yet the only games that I see Oak Ridge having a chance to win is against Clinton and Karns.

But HV wasn't bigger and our offensive line was supposed to be our strength this year. It just pissed me off to watch #53 for HV rush unblocked most of the night. I just haven't ever seen Oak Ridge play so sloppy and not even try to block someone. However, I do hope they turn things around and it is possible just like it was 2 years ago. They have a very tough schedule this year so I hope they improve fast.

What happened Friday night? Oak Ridge returned their entire offensive line and Hardin Valley knocked them on their butt all night long. Number 53 for Hardin Valley was coming in untouched most of the night and the only time they could even get close to blocking him is when they blocked at his knees. Some people may not like it, but this is the worst I've seen Oak Ridge play since S.S. was the coach. What has happened and what can be done about it?
