  1. This is going to happen to a lot of teams before this season is over.
  2. Nope. I won't say the positions but starters on both sides of the ball.
  3. School systems can do all they can while kids are on property, but kids will do what they want outside of school. Once the final bell rings, there are no more masks, no more social distancing, etc. I see FV adhering to the rules. They can't do much more besides the bubble I mentioned earlier.
  4. Lots of FV kids are quarantined. Most sports teams are heavily affected. Going to be a long night! Two weeks is the minimum.
  5. FV has plenty of gaps in their play. Watching a few games, it very evident where they are. You just have to find them and exploit them. We have a good group of kids that like to play the game. I personally think the game will be close if everything stays the same as it is today.
  6. Should be plenty of tickets available. We did not sell our allotment of home tickets this last week. Several hundred were still available. Be sure to bring your mask and plan on wearing it. Williamson County schools has become so crazy over this virus. By Friday, they may require you show up in a bubble. Looking forward to the game. I know our kids love this game as well. We don't see much competition in our region so this is always a welcome match-up.
  7. Stay behind the boys and lift them up. Coaches will be okay, the boys have a hard time with the community saying, "when I played"........
  8. Good to hear this is just a bump in the road. Too many programs are losing athletes to other sports. Stick with it.
  9. Well that game was quite boring for a Senior night. It was good to see the whole team play last night. The starters did well and pretty much did what they wanted. I feel confident our JV would have won that game last night. They moved the ball well against the CCCHS varsity. With the exception of the pick six, the JV looked okay.
  10. What's up with Camden? Its hard to believe they dropped this much in two seasons. They were a decent team team last year but something has come off the rails this year.
  11. Has to be FV this year. From what I see on film, CCCHS is one person team. He pitches, he gets hit, he keeps it, he gets hit. Poor kid will be sore on Saturday. It takes a tough kid to play that option. Good luck to both teams. We welcome the Cubs to Fairview.
  12. I'm taking; Fairview in a big win Stewart in a win. Still waiting to see if they have a team this year. Camden in a win. What's up with Camden this year?
  13. Wearing that, how would we ever pick you out of the crowd!
  14. It was a good decision to mutually drop the game. Ripley was a worthy opponent and we look forward to playing them sometime. We will look to play that game this year if additional games are dropped. The team that ran was East East Hickman. They consider the game a rivalry. We look at the game as a way to build stats and get our JV Friday night playing time.
  15. Watched some of the video of the first game, stopping the option is not going to be much of an issue. Your best option is to try to beat us with the arm. You won't have a chance running the ball.
  16. I think it would be the first meeting. No bullets to dodge. Just line up and play the next team on the schedule. Would have been a great game. Hates off the administrators for taking care of the kids first. No reason to put Ripley on a bus for three hours each way in the potential weather. Lets plan on meeting in the playoffs!
  17. Ripley v Fairview game cancelled. Weather related. Game not to be rescheduled.
  18. I seriously doubt Cheatham County has more than 100 yards of total offense. If they do score it will be a fluke. I am expecting to see a lot of JV in the second half. As far as the "finally playing a good team for once" comment, CCCHS, you will see a good team next Friday. The comment is as much of a slap in your face as ours. We play CCCHS every year. We will certainly welcome you to town and be great hosts. Ask anyone for anything and they will help you out. The football game on the other hand will be lopsided.
  19. Will there be any change the region tries to play all region games in the three weeks left that metro is currently allowed to play?
  20. I think what we saw last week was Camden quitting early in the second half. They changed everything on O and D and it simply did not work. Would have been a much different game had Camden's coaching staff stayed with their game plan. They blinked first and their changes failed. You could literally see their kids quitting. Jackets did well to keep the foot on their throats.
  21. Game day! Let's do this Jackets!
  22. This is a typical football game. Controlling penalties and turnovers will be the key. I see both teams finding some success on both sides of the ball. I like the comment of "WANT TO". You can't teach want to, you either have it or your don't. If you do have it, do you decide to use it or not. I for one think so of our key players have a lot of it and some of our key players have none.
  23. He does. i have watched him do it. I have seen him putting in the time in the off season too. He has a leg. Just needs the confidence to finish. Would have loved to see him kick one in the last two weeks to build that confidence.
  24. We will have to execute our blocking scheme perfectly. Once we establish that we can and will run the ball, the passing game might be the difference maker. We won't be allowed the deep ball to develop, might need to look at the shorter game. I like our receivers against Camden's DBs. We are tall and can jump. That's the difference maker I think.
