Don’t know much about Bruceton but they only lost to Huntingdon by 6. If we think it’s going to be a cakewalk, we will probably have our hands full. Hope the boys are not taking them lightly. Looks like most of their losses were 1 score games.

I agree. It could be 100-0. I’m guessing Gordonsville will pull starters in 3rd and Whitwell gets a score late.

We played Gordonsville and Whitwell back to back weeks. Based on that, my guess is 56-6 Gordonsville.

I have been rough on our QB the last couple of games. He played great tonight. We will need that to win in the playoffs.

Fayetteville and Cornersville wasn’t a fight. You saw it. It wasn’t much more than a shoving match by 2 players after 1 hit the other one after the whistle. No punches were thrown or landed. The other 4 players that were suspended a game for Fayetteville took a few steps off the sideline but never entered an altercation. There is language in the TSSAA handbook on how to handle that. They reviewed the film and followed the handbook protocol. I spoke with a local AD tonight who saw the Shelbyville/Franklin Co video. He said there were multiple fights happening on the field with swinging helmets and fists. That was much different from Fayetteville/Cornersville. That’s why it was handled different.

You’re right. The problem is that they have already set precedence by making these others quarantine and miss playoffs. They would have to reverse course on that before game one of playoffs or I don’t see how you could justify rapid testing to keep a team alive in later rounds.

I’ve seen a couple of people say that Milan is ok because they would have run this through TSSAA and have approvals on file. Unfortunately, that does not mean they won’t get you. We (Fayetteville) had multiple letters from Childress saying we were good on a transfer last year before TSSAA made us forfeit some wins. We went from 10-0 to 4-6 and missed playoffs. I hope that doesn’t happen to Milan. It really sucks for the kids.

Not sure if he plays that way all the time but he was a big part of the reason they beat us (Fayetteville). We couldn’t stop him.

I don’t have it copied but I think it was on the Moore Co/Forrest thread where he wanted to eat mexican with you. I don’t personally have an issue with you but I do see you start stuff with people and then act like they are being mean to you. I’m not ashamed for pointing that out nor do I want to get in a war of words about it. I just saw where a bunch of folks were jumping on Raider and thought it would be worthwhile to point out what I remember seeing. Feel free to say something back...I am going to take your advice and keep my mouth shut.

#10 for Gordonsville is a stud RB. Not saying he’s better than #34 at Meigs but he’s not that far off.

I’m not saying I agree with challenging someone to fight on a message board because you don’t like what they are saying. I don’t personally condone that but I guess it is possible to say something so out of line that I could get that way to. I will defend Raider2021 on his beef with the general. General pushed a lot of his buttons repeatedly on another thread before he finally had enough. At some point, you just get tired of someone being a jack for no reason. Again, don’t agree with a fist fight over a message board argument and don’t want to start anything with the General...just saying I understand why Raider2021 had enough.

My best guess based on who is healthy for each team now and what I have been able to see: 1. South Pitt 2. Huntingdon 3. Moore Co 4. Gordonsville 5. Coalfield 6. Fayetteville 7. Lake Co 8. Greenfield 9. Monterey 10. Huntland

Agree with you on Stewart and that it will be a battle with City. I don’t think there is animosity from the majority on City’s side towards Huntland. There was some talk after we forfeited games last year that it was Huntland or Lincoln Co or both that turned us in. That fired some people up here but I think most folks have moved on. I can’t speak to Huntland fan base feelings toward City. I will say that it feels like every region team we play has some kind of issue with City. Maybe that’s how all teams feel against region opponents and rivals. We all want our kids team and hometown school to win. We all defend them. We all think we got the short end of the stick from the refs. At the end of the day, it can be a great atmosphere where we can scream and holler and be decent examples of how adults should behave...like in the City vs MC game (both sides) or we can do the opposite like in the City vs Cornersville game (both sides). I expect R5 to give Huntingdon some good games. I expect City/Huntland round 2 to be a war. I want our guys to win, but I will pull for R5 when/if we are out because I have pride for this area and how most people do things.

Don’t know much about Monterey but they will have to slow down 10 for Gordonsville to have a chance. I’ll take Gordonsville by 7.

Agree. Without him, their only wins are COVID this year. I don’t see anything after he graduates for a while. They will be bad to average for the foreseeable future.

I don’t think Nolensville will be better than Page the next 2 years but they will easily finish second. Franklin Co, Spring Hill, Columbia and Lincoln Co will fight it out for the last 2 playoff spots. I would give the edge to Columbia and Lincoln as long as Webb is there. When he is gone, they will really struggle. If Tullahoma moves up, they will contend with Page for the top spot, but I think Tullahoma will be content to stay in 4A.

If the new region projections are right, Page will win their region the next 2 years.

It is my understanding that TSSAA does go back and watch the film when there is an altercation that leads to ejections to determine if additional punishment is necessary.

I don’t know if it is too late. I think 5 has been playing JV QB and looked more comfortable than our starter to me when he got in last night. 1 looked great with the ball in his hands in the first series before the pick. Hope they try to get 1 more chances to do something.

Understand. I can’t compare to what I haven’t seen. I have seen several teams in 1A try to run it with little to moderate success. Moore Co does it extremely well. It will be interesting to see if the staff at MC can do this year in, year out or if they just had the right mix of talent this year to make it run well.
